    Does anyone know what kind of catamaran sailboats were in the "Thomas Crown Affair"? Any details about them? Cost?

    I know that it is a D-Type Catamaran that was designed in the 80s to be ridiculously fast. Apparently there are only a handful of them left in the world.

    Some other people claim it was a couple of Formula 40 catamarans.

    There is a Formula 40 cat built in 1989 that is named "Whiplash" that claims to be in the movie:
