Terrible news. She’s a legend.

I met her and Dudley a couple of times in Goodwood and at the Nürburgring. Here the Dudley`s are in their Maserati 300S, chassis #3055, probably the very best car of that type. Gospeed Sally, wherever you are now...

She and her husband were/are great characters, they did sooo many events for years, incredible. I gave them a ride in La Rochelle at the 1998 Tour Auto, a nice moment.
RIP spirited lady.

Sally and Dudley Mason-Styrron in their beloved 166 MM Barchetta Touring chassis #0040 M at the Modena Cento Ore Classic on 11 May 2007.
I first met Sally and Dudley in 1979 at Donington and the same year Sally picked me up at Heathrow airport in a mustard yellow Maserati Indy. I will never forget that ride, it was rather enthusiastic, to put it mildly. I used to stay at their home both near Farnham and also at the chalet in the Valais in the mountains in Switzerland. Fabulous times and wonderfully warm people.

FYI: Before Sally met Dudley Mason-Styrron she was married to Richard Colton. Following divorce she married Dudley Mason-Styrron and became Sally Mason-Styrron.
Note that Mason and Mason-Styrron is not the same and has nothing to do with each other.

I've seen them in a few photos together and wondered if there was a relation even though I knew they were different names. Thought I'd ask. Thanks for the clarification. RIP

 

Dear all whom have created, contributed and written about my dear wife Sally. A friend of mine chanced upon this thread and through him I’d like to express my gratitude for the kind words expressed…

Sally was/is the love of my life and I miss her dearly. However in her own words “oh for goodness sake Dudley just get on with it”. , with great difficulty I’m doing just that…

I am deeply touched by all your kind words and contribution's and it fills me with such joy to know that she had made such an impact in the car community…..We had some legendary moments and many memories made which help me enormously through these difficult times. Thankyou all again…

 

Dudley and Sally lived barely a couple of miles from myself and my wife in Farnham, between London and the south coast here on our small island. Dear Sally was just a force of nature. She redefined 'enthusiasm' in its purest sense and absolutely loved her Ferraris, and using them whenever, and wherever, possible. Dudders was the perfect foil for her - and their shared-interest relationship was in many ways absolutely enviable. I am proud to have known her, and to know Dudley still... In our country there is immense enthusiast sympathy for - and empathy with - him.
