I do lots of window shopping on Copart and am always fascinated by their exotic car offerings.

I wanted to post the details of the salvage Ferrari auctions here as a record for someone to access since Copart/IAAI remove their listings sometime after the vehicles are sold.

I have no affiliation with Copart/IAAI or any of the vehicles I post.

The problem is good luck selling that when you want to cash out, have you seen how picky the buyers of Ferraris are on this site? Hell Im terrified of ever selling my 575 and its perfect and ive spent alot of time and money getting it right.

I guess if a person could get one of these salvage cars at a reasonable cost, and planned on keeping it for a while that’s one thing but it sure seems a lot of these salvage cars are selling darn near close to no story prices. I’ve speculated that it’s probably the recycling guys buying since as parts these are worth quite a bit, but it sure shuts the door on anyone else reasonably getting one of these cars especially if one really could’ve been rebuilt and put back on the road.

I’m sure there are the few that people can and have bought and rebuilt but sure seems like an expensive gamble for most folks to take.

Let me save you a bunch of time. This site archives all the old Copart and IAAI auctions. It takes a month or so to update.

I'd buy one if I was looking for a project or a track toy. Without any reservations -- provided the price is what I think is fair.

I'd have a lot of reservations about water damage -- because of the computers, but otherwise I think it would be fun to take a cheap, but rebuildable car, and make a track toy.

As for computers, I think there is a big enough FCHAT brain trust to probably overcome even that.
