Today I was out shopping for appliances at hhgregg and (again) was completely blown away by Samsung's LED TVs, just wow!

However, they also had one demonstrating Samsung's InternetTV... completely plug and play too.

Is anyone running this setup yet? It seems like the best of all worlds.

Not exactly. I have a newer Samsung LCD TV (1080p HD) and a Sony Blu-Ray player with wireless Internet access. That lets me watch Netflix, You Tube, etc.

The picture quality streamed from Netflix is pretty average... good enough for catching the odd Top Gear episode in the afternoon, but if you're used to a cinematic experience on your TV then you may be disappointed.

Of course, maybe I just haven't figured out how to optimize the picture, or maybe my wireless isn't fast enough.

they do have stunning picture quality ... but (personally) i find that the brightness & resulting contrast is a bit too harsh on the eyes ...

Thanks Jon for the heads up on Netflix. I guess I'll wait for the technology to catch up. In the meantime I'm finding out that Samsung is a content provider, much like AOL for internet.
