I recently (thought) I purchased a Sanden compressor for my 308 conversion from the OEM York. No label is on it but the casting (in the body) has the number EG7H13. Sanden does not seem to know that number on their website when I search it. Anybody know this model number? Everything on it looks like a Sanden.

I cant verify your compressor but there are alot of Sanden copies out there.Just do an Ebay search for Sanden SD 508 and you will see alot of them priced in the $140 range being described as Sanden style compressor

Many companies are licensed to make them. Sanden was not even the first. They all make only a few sizes. 5 to 9 cubic inches of displacement. Like 507 is 5 valve 7 cubic inch. Most have the same mountings and interchangeable parts. All should work ok for you. If you want to know more than you can stand there are books available. Nigel Calder Refrigeration For Pleasure Boats will cover it. R-Parts usually has some available.

I mistakenly bought one of those too. Actually, it looked better made on the outside at least than the real thing but I just decided to return it and get an authentic one. It was advertised as a Sanden but had no such markings on it. It was of Asian origin from someone who Ebays them from the west coast.
