It never seems to end (LOL!).
When I recently replaced the old front to back AC hoses I left plenty of excess in the engine bay for this next issue. The "T" shaped compressor hose fittings shipped in my AC kit, with their integral service ports, are creating a potential service port access problem. They may not be the best thing to use. If I route the hoses the same way as OEM for the York, the service ports will be pointing downward - seems like it will be too hard to access.
I did some alternate hose routing and "T" fittings orientations and could only come up with this (photos). But it will require routing my hoses around the rear of the fuel tank. The hoses will get sandwiched between the tank and the wheel well cover. I think there is room for the hoses there. It might even allow good slack to swing the compressor aside during future belt changes. Has anyone ever done it this way?
Maybe I'll try from over the tank and use the fittings ($10 on eBay) shown in the last two photo.
I'll also try and seek some other options.
Comments or advice here is appreciated...
