May be there in the next few weeks for a job interview. I have been wanting a change of life for some time now and being a passionate fisherman Florida was first choice. Not certain about the date yet but some guidance from the locals would be cool and greatly appreciated.

Gotta stay focused there... between the bikinis and the non-stop partying one could get into trouble without even knowing about it.

I lived in the immediate area for 20 years and still have many friends throughout Okaloosa and Walton Counties. So I know first-hand what the lifestyle can do to people.

Oh, and traffic is practically grid-locked on hwy 98 from mid May until September (FWB to SanDestin).

And no... FWB isn't "Friends With Benefits" (or maybe it is, but they're all married )

Sandeestin is not actually a city, or even a town. It is a resort about ten miles East of Destin that is a high end resort community. Destin's population is only about 12,000 people.

Miramar is only a 'census designated place' or CDP that's only around 2,500 people.

Might need to look at population and real estate considerations.

That would have an effect on how many officers, police force, etc.

Outside of those highly commercial areas, it's not that different from anywhere rural US.

"Passionate fisherman?" Tour guide on a boat? Doesn't seem to be directly related to gainful employment. The scope of the story has had many a twist and turn to get to this point, maybe I missed something, or perhaps there's just something missing from a rational picture of reality. I suspect the latter.
