The next Events O'Neill day is on Wednesday 17 August. If you're Melbourne based and not going you are mad. For $285- you get the days driving, brekky and lunch and as much instruction as you want from the following guys:

    Matt Coleman:
    ex Porsche Carrera Cup

    Allan Simonsen:
    ex Nations Cup Ferrari driver
current British GT series in F360
    V8 Supercar enduro driver

    Will Davison:
    Current A1 GP Australian driver
    Minardi Formula 1 test drive
recent V8 HPDC drive (2nd place)
    V8 Supercar Enduro driver

    Alex Davison:
    2004 Porsche Carrera Cup Champion
current V8 Supercar driver - Autobarn Racing Team

    Jamie Whincup:
current V8 Supercar driver - Dodo Racing Team

The instructors will sit with you in your car and, without any pressure, help you not only improve your driving around the circuit but also learn more about your car and yourself!

Hope to see you at Sandown on the 17th!

It's on the other sheet under 'tea lady'.

I'm just one of a few unknown instructors that work on the day.

There's the Michelin race guys there to look after client's tyres at every event... and a barista for coffee duties... and a chef doing lunch...

So really, I'm just there drinking coffee, and going through basics of where people should be looking, the right lines, importance of being smooth and doing the odd demo lap.

I get 'em to go smooth and then the boys push 'em to go fast (if that's what they want).

First, as it is relatively new it allows the day to establish itself as a quality experience against other such days
Second, it costs significantly less to run the day here
Third, Melbourne people are nicer :)

But driving at the Creek would be much more fun than Sandown..... very technical track the Creek......

The Creek is quite easy on cars too, where as Sandown kills brakes and transmissions...

so your real costs are hidden anyway.

    Oran Park used at all??
