Another glorious day at Sandown today... 550GT, 550 Speciale, 360sp, Maserati Trofeo, a few Elises, too many porkers :) and a good time had by all.

Fun moment... taking elite cyclist Baden Cooke's '05 WRX STI for a few quickie laps... with him in the passenger seat :)

Most focussed car - check out Stephen's pedestrian shredders and malibu sized rear wing

Scariest moment - cresting the hill at >250km/h in the Trofeo to see a noddy in a WRX just off the racing line at Dandenong corner REVERSING back up the track... changed undies after that one

What are your thoughts on the 05 STi? Has Subaru finally sorted the understeer out?

when it pushes you must simply accelerate harder and it now pulls the front around...

I prefer the EVO VIII though and can't wait to check the EVO IX

Wish I could have been there... but had an SAP user group conference on Wed and Thurs... and considering it had 200 potential customers........... I am sure you can understand the priority atm :)

Cheers 348CH. Last question: Do you prefer the Evo because it's better under 3000 rpm, or is it a better handler and faster outright? Thanks mate.

more drivable down low, prefer the more controllable handling (the suzuki needs to be driven how it wants whereas the evo you have more say - and I reckon the evo is faster...

and there just happens to be two at my local mitsu dealer so if I can get away I know what I'm doin
