Who's going to Santana Row this weekend?
I'm trying to fix the TR for this weekend. I still have computer/sensor issues. It's simply not drivable right now. Thankfully, my leakdown and compression tests show a healthy motor. I am hoping that this will be a quick fix once we pin down the electronic glitch. James from Dallas (Norwood Performance) is visiting the car on Friday.
Dented the Audi last night and have 2 parties that afternoon but I will try to come by for a little bit. At least the Syder is doing well.
Ouch, Tony! hahaha We all have our challenges...that's the adventure. I'm learning a lot about the car though, that's for sure...hahaha
I'm just back from the iPhone launch in Paris... if I can get caught up on everything a 3 weeks of travel has delayed, I'll be there. Frank
I've had my Yellow beast for upgrades since Labor day... SLOWWWWWWWWW!!! But she will look great. For all those that care, this is what she is in for..... Air Conditioning System. Install a lube oil cooler system as well as the remote oil filters. Gas filler extension. Install new side view mirrors. Rear Spoiler, super scoops (Install in place of the rear windows), and bumpers (front and rear). Design, fabricate, and install an intake system to accommodate the super scoops to a filtered plenum to the intake. Activate 150# NOS system I hope to join back in someday.....
Very well, thanks, Ben. James P flew in from Dallas and met me at Patrick Ottis's shop in Berkeley. I needed for the mechanics here to understand the new system and the types of problems that, ahem, may arise in the future. After James hooked his laptop up to the Motec, he got an engine temp reading 20 degrees Celsius. That was less than half of the actual engine temp. It seems that I had a bad connection on my coolant temp sensor. The Motec thought that the engine was always cold. Hence, I was running around the city and hills on choke! It simply wasn't drivable once the problem really settled in. James rewired the sensor and reloaded the original maps. Electronics! Thank the lords of Italian machinery, it wasn't a mechanical problem though $$$. I need one of those EMS display devices! See you at Bryan's today?
