The auto museum in Saratoga Springs, the town famous for horse racing, is sponsoring an all-Italian car lawn event on August 14th. It's a great ride and very beautiful town. Hope you can make it!

FYI: That's the same weekend as the "Sheraton" Rt 17 Mahwah show.

Vik/Noah, isn't it time to make up another "virtual calendar" for posting of what's coming down the pike?

Saratoga is about 3 hrs from NYC. It's a great resort town and it'll be the middle of racing season, so a lot of good times will be happening there. I hope you can make it!

Does anyone have any recommended sights to see in the area after the event?

The town itself is a great place to roam around, with great restaurants, nightclubs, etc. Also, it will be racing season at the time of the show, so the track is always a great place to go. Near the town is the Saratoga Battle Field, if you're a history buff, and Saratoga Lake is nearby as well. Further north about 20 mins is Lake George, another resort town, and even further are the Adirondacks.

Any idea what the turn-out will be for this? I'm planning on going tomorrow and am just wondering what to expect. How was the event last year?

I don't think that there will be a very large turnout. There hasn't been that much advertisement of the event. The first time they held this event, 2 years ago, there were about 10 Ferraris present. There was no advertising at all that year, just word or mouth. Hopefully it will be better attended tomorrow. This event is open to all Italian cars; 2 years ago it was just Ferrari. Anyway, I'll be there w my 308 and a couple of friends, one w a TR and the other a 360, will attend as well.

I forgotto mention that I emailed a number of NE Italian car club chapters, so there could be a decent turn-out.
