Des Plaines is hardly 15 minutes from my house. I don't really have a set plan on where we'll be cruising but I'm up for any where really. Oh and trust me, I'm sure my friends would love to have a F355 with us hehe Plus I'd love to check your car out and get some more info on F-car ownership. I'm thinking about getting a 996 Turbo or GT2, and the F355 is in the same price range. I'll PM you my cell#. -Awais
I should've been a bit more clear. New 911 Turbo or used GT2 are around $125-130K. Used F355's seem to be going for under $100K, so I could swing the F355 but I've never actually been in one so not sure how it compares to the Porsches. I will be testing out the 355 and a 360 later when the weather gets nicer. -Awais
Ahh... I was thinking you were talking about a used 996T or 355, both of which are in the $80-90k range as far as I know... which is why I was confused

I am planning on going to Continental on sat. for thier show for a couple hours and then just cruising all weekend in the 328. Let me know where all you guys will be, i'll join in on a cruise, maybe stop somewhere for lunch either day???

Yes,I will also be available Tomm.,(Sunday). My Son had a Soccer game this A.M.,then my Landscapers came by,and I had to go over the WHOLE Estate with them,showing what I wanted done....Spring Cleanup,Etc..... But,if anyone posts something Definite,I will be interested,for sure.(Not early,though.... ) But,saw a couple different Weather Forecasts today,and they all said that if you want Warmth,stay away from the Lakefront,and the City...which is about 25 Degrees cooler than the West,and Far West 'Burbs. there is some great cruising way out West....
Hey there,Tony! Long time,no "see".... My Son has been asking me when he'd see your Son again. (But,I don't have him tomorrow... ) If nobody comes up with anything,how about driving up RT.12 to the Volo Auto Museum? Or,to the Brat Stop for Lunch? Any other ideas anybody???
Well,I ended up driving South down IL. Route 83. A little past I-55 in Burr Ridge,down to 95th. St.,and IL.171,(Archer Av.) and cruised all through the Forest Preserves down that a way. Saw quite a few nice,old Convertibles. Lots of Motorcycles,(Thanks to the 2 guys on Sport Bikes that warned me to Slow Down,as there was a Policeman ahead... Even though I was only doing 5 MPH above the 55 MPH limit....I guess It looked like I was going faster than I really was... ) It's really neat down there. Curvy,2 Lane roads,mostly 50-55 MPH speed limits. Right through the Woods. Looks better in Summer and Fall,though.Some Ponds and lakes. Lots of places to stop. And,some really nice Restaraunts in the Area. If anyone wants to cruise down there again sometime,let me know. Really Scenic.
