Hi guys/gals. just wanted to introduce myself as i'm a newb here but old timers on a lot of the other forums... I just opened up a restaurant/lounge in montgomery nj which is right outside of princeton. its 18,000 sqft and the parking lot holds approx 250 cars. I drive a 08 Granturismo and used to love going to meets meeting people. Now with the place open I don't have the time so I figure i'd try to host one. Not sure how many people are from the area but i put 2 days that i thought would be great. if interested

One option would be Saturday at 12pm. The plus is that its a Sat and most people would be available and since we're not open for lunch the whole lot is open to you guys. The con is that since we are closed food or drinks would not be available.

The other option would be Sunday morning at an open time prob around 10-11am. The plus is that Sunday is usually an open day. You can have brunch at my place after or just chill at the bar. Parking lot for the most part would be open as well. There really isn't a con for this day.

The address to the restaurant is 1736 Rt 206 South, Montgomery, NJ 08558. Or go to tuskrestaurant.com for more details

If its of interest i'll start a list on who's in. thx!

Princeton / Montgomery not too far for me, and very picturesque. Sundays don't work for me given that I coach travel soccer, and games are Sundays.

Don't know that I can make many, but I am interested!

    Chris,
Is Tusk the place that was just built and sits atop of a hill?
    Near Princeton airport?

I cant do the 28th but an other weekend is good for me.
Lets do a sunday brunch and get an idea who could attend a night out at Tusk.

I think it would be great to put faces to members on here and its even better when we can support another members business establishment on here.

that would be great... plus for the people commuting up through princeton, its a beautiful scenic cruise. as far as night we have tons of options. On top of our current lounge, i'm currently finishing up construction on a ultra lounge with bottle service, vip area, dj booth so if that floats your boat that should be open mid/end sept. that would be for a weekend of course. i also have a private vip chefs table with its own private balcony if a smaller group of you want to get together. max would be about 16-18 people in this room.

Just so you are aware, Aug. 28 is the regular, bi-weekly Cars and Croissants in Chatham. I would expect that a bunch of people who might otherwise head down to your place will go to C&C in Chatham, as it is more established and gets a great turnout. In the future, you might want to pick a weekend or at least a day that doesn't conflict with C&C in Chatham to attract some of the folks who regularly go to that one.

Best of luck, and always nice to see new gatherings get under way.

By the way, is your parking lot wide open, no islands or light poles? We've been looking for a place to run our Jaguar Club slaloms/autocross, and need an open area about 220' long by about 130' wide. Princeton is a bit south for us, but heck, you take it where you can find it!

Right by Princeton, and this sounds very nice. Usually go to the Chatham C&C's, so they might get in each others way. Maybe, as stated before, do a week where the two don't conflict so we don't have to go a week where we are "dry" of cars haha. Sounds good though, and hope to see you soon.

Yeah actually just got off the phone with the guy that setups the Chatham C&C's. Very nice guy and we're going to try to see if we can setup something on sundays at my place. Didn't know about his aug 28th thing until i got on the phone with him and the last thing i wanted to do was setup something that conflicted with someone elses event sorta close by so i apologize. His is bi weekly so may i'll set it up in the future to have it the other two weeks. Another thing is that his is by Philly and discussing with him, we're not sure who would take the trip up north to my place since its about 45mins to an hour away so it might just turn out to be a total separate event for people in my area anyway.

That would be great. C&C events every week! I'm right around the middle of both locations. When I bought my house, my agent said to me something about locations locations locations. I think I'm beginning to understand what she meant :)

Sundays alternating with C&C would be best for attendance I would think.

I think C&C's run from around 8am to 11am or whenever the last car leaves. Sadly I havent been to one in a while. I'm guessing this weekends gathering will be cancelled due to hurricaine Irene.
