I look at the radar map and see nuttin in the form of rain for the entre U S of A. (And its sounding like if it does rain, it will be later on Saturday). Soooooooo, no rain tonight = no fog and "stufff". Any good weather prognosticators out there..................?
How about some of us meet at 8am at exit 13 (there is a Starbucks there). Then we can cruise up to meet the others. If you are coming North on 400, get off at exit 13 and go right (East), the Starbucks is right there on the left (North) side of the road across from the Avenue shopping center. Hopefully the rain holds off until the afternoon.
Hack........cought........arg...............ahhhh.............. Surely the AM has some super-secret-agent-anti-virus button in it somewhere........ See everyone (anyone) weather permitting tomorrow. (I'll be at the 400/X13/Starbucks group for 8am)
The drive is on! The rain should hold off until late afternoon, which means we'll be clear for a good drive throughout the morning. We'll leave at 9 AM sharp from the Chevron/Waffle House at the north terminus of GA400 just south of Dahlonega. If you don't know how to get there, drive north on GA400 until the highway ends at a traffic light where you can see a Waffle House and Home Depot off to the left.
6am news said 2-3pm (mid-afternoon)......... And usually we are done with these much closer to noon, soooooooooo. Vroooooom Vrooooooooooom. (vroom for you mazda folks)
Oops, my bad. Our monthly drives are actually the fourth Saturday of each month. Perhaps that explains the poor turn out today. Our monthly cruise-in is on the second Saturday of each month. Duh.
OK......to start with, all the weather people need new jobs.......... On a good note we did complete the route posted earler............. we had a Boxster, Exige, 2 360's, 348, 575 and a Mustang. The roads were off-and-on damp and overall clean. Nice to meet some new faces today, and, hopefully for the next drive you will all come along next time. (And how the Geico high-fivin' squirrel survived a direct hit I have no clue) BobR
It was great meeting up with you guys yesterday. Although the weather did not hold out, it was still a ton of fun! Here are just a few pics I snapped. Andy, I hope everything is okay from yesterday. Henry, I just realized, I didn't take any good shots of your car. I really wanted to snap one through the rear view when you were behind me on 400, your car looks menacing from that angle!
