Is there any way to watch broadcasts of F1 races from other parts of the globe via a satellite dish? Can you capture the raw feed? If so to what channels can you subscribe?

I am concerned that SpeedTV may sometime soon stop broadcasting live F1.

I highly doubt that will happen. People are reading too much into the WRC issue. WRC has major problems. There are technically only two manufacturers competing (Ford and Subaru). Other than the privateer effort with Sebastian Loeb the rest are seriously underfunded teams.

Marko Martin couldn't find a decent ride and Colin McRae dropped out two years ago. Basically it's Solberg, Gronholm, and Leob and the rest don't bear mentioning.

    Regards,

Not to well up on satellites but ITV UK show all the F1 races and broadcast on Sky. I know Europe can receive this with the right equipment.

A few reasons why i think they will continue to broadcast F1 in US ....esp the 06 season:

Bernie has been trying to tap into the american market for a while now. this season he will have a pretty decent chance ... esp with scott speed ...racing. I think (not 100% sure) last year ...it was his idea to build up interest by showing it on CBS ... not sure exactly how successful they were though. hopefully they try some more stuff this year.

Also...i bet Red Bull will be lobbying pretty hard to have F1 coverage in US. Their investment in Scott Speed would be pretty pointless if F1 was not broadcast in the US.

i've never seen scott race ..and i dont know how good he will be. but one thing is sure, people are counting on him to try and further penetrate the US market.

I hope you are right. But just in case, I want to know I have a way to watch F1 live.

I checked out the link. How do you determine if one of these channels will broadcast live F1? There was no search feature. Thanks
