    I have a 78 GTS I just repainted black, does anyone know for sure if the rockers are suppose to be a rubberized undercoating finish or a golss black? Also, the area around the wiper bases and in the "trough" were the hood seal goes was painted satin black is this correct? I know around the windshield frame is satin black as is the rear area where the targa top meets the body (not sure the proper name for it) thanks for any responses.

    78's had gloss rockers. The front trough and wiper area was satin black as was the recessed body line running done the middle of the sides of the car. Some people used to cheat and put electrical tape in there which used to curl up on the edges!

    gloss rockers? and i always thought the tape was stock? at least on the 77-78 cars....

    Well on a black exterior I'm not sure it's noticable.

    IMO the rockers are normally satin black aligned with the top edge of the Spray Shurtz rock protection.

    I'm not an expert as all my cars have Boxer Trim...
