Rick... Yep this Saturday will be the 3rd this month, so it's time to gather the troops. The new Restaurant has opened and is exceptionally good and not spendy at all. A Mexican Grill called Keso. Same plaza as Palomilla's in John's Creek Walk, where we met up last month. They're open for lunch, have a full bar, and a shaded from the afternoon sun open patio. Rick... going to give you the responsability to be the director this month. I have to be in Chicago from Thursday this week till next Tuesday.. I'll have internet accsess so I'll live vicariously through the group. JD
That's a lot of responsibility Jeff . . . but I'll try. Mr. Skeoch you're in charge of the Lotus invites, Mr. DeFransis BMW, Mr. Rittwegger, our Porsche pals, Vinny (even though you said you're not coming) F-cars, George, see if you can shake up some Maserati folks, Lambo . . . come on down, Panterista's join in plus anyone else you can think of. Make it a automotive flash mob! Keso Mexican Grill 11030 Medlock Bridge Rd. Suite 110, Johns Creek, GA (770) 813-9898
Rick,I thought you were talking about the Sept date, being the same as British Car Fayre, not this Sat !!!! I'll be there !!
An idea for you guys..... after the meetup, go enmass to Brian Willis's house for a rev and honk fest? JD
i'll be there.... BTW, Bob R, is this your RS at hennessey for sale? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2010-Porsche-GT3-RS-/150649390937?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2313674759
Charles.....NOPE....... that is a fellow by the name of Dan that traded his in and took Allan's White/Black 11 RS. (Dan and my cars are almost twins accept his didnt have the red stitching or the axle lift as I recall) Oh........July30th made me pass the 1yr mark on the car........ a new record for me I think.
Another fun gathering. The weather threatened for awhile but eventually cleared out (until I was driving home!) and we had it made in the shade, which gave Keso the leg up on its neighbor Palomilla's. As for the food, it ranked with the best Mexican food I've ever had in Atlanta! And the price was reasonable too. And as for Rick's "Black Bullet", it is a 456, which replaces his prior F355 spider. A very nice car, though the back seat is kid-sized only. WAY TO GO!!!!! I'm stuck here in Evanston till Tuesday. Glad y'all had a good meetup. How was the food,, drink, service at Keso? Patio and environment to everyones likings? Looked like a great turnout. Really really sory to have missed it, but if all agree we'll continue it there. Nice little villa atmoshere methinks. Jim, thanks for the pics, Rick.. thanks for pulling this together. Everyone else, thanks for coming. JD
OK......so I didn't make it...... Rained hard here just after 3pm, then heard thunder for quite a while after, so, just decided to head back across-the-way to work on friends 67' GTO getting the hood aligned, fenders and all. (BTW...... the hood is quite heavy). I can only figure they assembled those cars with hood down and put a 5yr old in the engine area to tighten down the bolts so it lines up properly.
