i was at the workshop/prep area today and saw a black 430 getting cleaned before being picked up today.pre delivery was only done yesterday and the dude wanted it for the weekend. black interior with yellow stitching was very sexy. car looked beautiful in black. pity it's hard to keep clean. standard black brake callipers should of been yellow but it had shields. standard brakes. keep your eyes out on the road

I know, really. They should be standard. The only reason people don't get them is to save $$$. If someone really wanted the look of them not being there, they could take them off after.

they should only be on the racing cars actually, it's just another marketing thing to make money out of the tossers ....oops, I put them on my GT4 :( not the $2800 version (that would have doubled the price of the car )

Hey Scud, went for my third Porker ride the other night with vroomgt, Carrera Boxster, very nice but no soul. Had all the gadgets, sat/nav, heated seats (loved them) and heaps of other goodies , how about taking the GT2 to Morgan Park on the 20th with the FCA club, would like to experience the "weapon" to see if it has some soul please (you know, it makes you feel good just sitting in the thing)

Not me. I didn't order them on my 360 because I think they spoil the lines. I can assure you that $$$ had nothing to do with it!

You really can't take the factory shields off because the fenders have recesses stamped in them where the shields are installed.

    btw, I'll be ordering a blk/blk 430 too. Without shields! :)

'concealed weapon' is the perfect term for it.

it has such great manners at commuting speeds, so much so that after a while of cruising when the foot goes into the firewall - in ANY gear - it's truly fkng astonishing how much it feels like you're on the Gravitron, you really forget that the car can do... that!

it's easy to drive (hey, even i drove it for a while), but that soul you're looking for... nah, keep looking. it's in the top 5 of sexiest Porkers ever, sounds okay, and performance... well, honestly, i think it's got at least as much balls as the Murcielago, and would likely be much better in the twisty stuff too.

if i wanted balls-out performance, that would be the car, but i like the drama and the sound as well so the winners of the weekend for me were the Gallardo and the CS.
