Wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and my new project "Bella". She's a 1981 308GTSi that I picked up with the motor and gearbox torn down and in boxes. It had a turbo kit with EFI conversion installed and after the motor went, sat for 10 years.

Its a hotrod so I plan on keeping it that way and doing the motor build right.

Came with a few goodies...vintage HRE 3 piece wheels I am totally in love with, 4 pot racing brakes with aluminum hats, poly bushings, possibly has lowering springs, and some really tasteful 288 GTO styling mods. I may re-do the grille a bit.

Hoping to have it at least running for summer! Thanks.

Started going through the parts boxes to see what is there and what is missing. Heads and block out at machine shop getting inspected and machine work done.

Started doing a little sandblasting, its very relaxing and you feel like you're actually getting something done ;)...going to do some detail work in the engine bay while the motor is out.

The bad so far is a couple cam journals look like they starved of oil. Going to see if machine shop can save if possible...rather not buy a new head.

Not a fan of the fuel rail setup..will be doing it better...injectors didn't look so hot...they appear to be Ford, easy enough to find same or better.
