I just saw this post in the Atlantic region, this is Charles Perry and his collection. Great guy, just down the road in Summerville. I stopped in a few weeks ago and I really think we should do something this spring like a Lake Lure, or Asheville drive. Also he has invited the SC FCA membership and other to view F1 at his home. You will not find a better home entertainment center, trust me on this!

Speaking of which, I stayed at the Lake Lure Inn Saturday night, drinks at the Grove Park, so I was able to hit 74 twice, once at night, then 9 to Black Mountain in snow flurry, back to 64 to Brevard, and then 276 to HWY 11, 178, to Piedmont, and home. Another 500+ mile weekend!

Thanks for the offer David but I was busy at work. I got to work for the next two weeks to save my hiney at work (save money) so no one draws overtime and hopefully win 2004 Hotel of the Year and that nice bonus check with a free Cruise to go with it.

Once it gets warmer around March I think i'll take a drive up thru Asheville and stay at Grove Park Inn again but looks like I will be busy for the next couple of months planning ahead for work and working them long odd hours. That's the price I have to take to be a manager I guess.
If your ever up near Blowing Rock, Boone NC then check out Chetola Mountain Resort. Its very nice with Condos, The Inn and Vacation Homes for rent too surrounding a Lake and the Moutains with other amenities included.
If anyone is up for a drive in early April then I say we take a 2 day drive thru Boone, Valley Crucis (which is very beautiful town and Rte 194 is hella CURVY- all I gotta say is GOOD LORD!!), Asheville and Bryson City areas. If it conflicts with other meets of the FCA then we can always wait a while since i know in March there are some track days ahead.
Btw has anyone heard of a mountain race that takes place every year on Rte 184 up the mountain near Banner Elk NC. I heard it from some State troopers talking the other day wanting to try it out. Just thought i would ask. Peace

Edit : I found this but It doesnt explain much about the race. http://home.att.net/~butch.lovell/hillclimb1.html

Thanks, David! That was a fun weekend. The mid-Atlantic guys do something almost every weekend, so it gives us something to aspire to.

Any of you who find yourselves near Charleston, please give me a call. Always great to meet the people who make up our roster. Also, if you are in SC (or NC or GA) and want to be on my mailing list for planning/doing events in the area, please e-mail me. If you're an FCA member you're probably on the list, but if not I'm at [email protected].

I sent out an e-mail recently looking for ideas of things you guys would find fun in the coming year. Please feel free to post them here or PM me as well and lets do some driving!
