The OP is not banned from the site. He can send a private message to Bulletproof Automotive here or email them to get some help. All the best, Andrew.
I myself would have just asked if someone here in the know could help me out with this, its absolutely that simple . Great service offered by the people over at Bullet, even though its not theyre deal. These are the type of companies I wish all others would be like. I hope the gentlemen gets what he ordered when all is said and done.
Moderation discussions with him via private message do not presently support that course of action. All the best, Andrew.
I’m laughing that OP is apparently still so aggressive in his responses in PM’s that he can’t be unbanned. I totally believe it too from the way he was acting in this thread when people were trying to help him and explain what he needed to do to get help
I don’t understand why this thread exists. The OP bought it direct. Apparently they shipped him the wrong version and want him to ship it back. Sure it is expensive to ship. That said…..once they receive it, I would be surprised if they don’t refund the shipping and ship him what he ordered. Alternatively…..with Bullet involved they may opt to have the OP send it to them to confirm it was the wrong unit….let them keep it for sale….and ship the replacement unit to Bullet for delivery. Everyone is happy and has a Merry Christmas thanks to @Bulletproof Automotive .
Andrew and Yin pretty much have it figured out. #1 Why they didn't order it through Bullet. #2 Why they can't expose too much info. #3 Why they have been a complete dick to me. It makes sense when you know exactly who this person is and who they work for, we know.
, funny, but this one isn't a troll, just a hater. that is pretty obvious with their posts though. wait until the dealer is exposed and no one will buy from them again.
I don’t like my wife’s tv dramas but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t intrigued by the details of this one. I guess I’m no better
Well I don't know who the OP is and apparently there is some conflict of interest as insinuated by Rob ("when you know exactly who this person is and who they work for, we know."). However, for the mods to continually post about him and the OP unable to respond doesn't seem fair. JMHO. Of course, as Jimmy Carter once said, who said life is fair.
Well now I got to know... Who is this person? Who do they work for? Why was it 30% less? The mystery is now irresistible.
I have no idea why I read this whole thread but after reading it, I will probably end up a customer of Bulletproof Automotive. Super classy guys trying to help a guy who ended up being a clown that had nothing to do with the purchase.
It's hard to have empathy when you just come to a community to *****... Didn't use a sponsor to buy the exhaust... Spam him and his business which can cause confusion for people making them think he ripped you off. .. and then tell Rob how to run his website. Try asking for help this community is great. But spamming and bitching will get you absolutely no where here. And we like it that way
Honestly, as a result of this thread, I went to Bulletproof's website & scrolled through their offerings. Unfortunately, I didn't find any exhaust systems for 308s.
Man, I loved the old Kreisieg videos! In the pre turbo era, those cats could knew how to make supercar absolutely scream! Kudos to Bulletproof for their kindness and professionalism. Should I ever chance breaching my warranty I’ll look you all up.
Perhaps it’s just me, but the OP is too unknowledgeable to be a legitimate dealer for Kreissieg. Especially, if he doesn’t speak any Japanese. 1. The valveless Kriessieg 348 muffler is named the “Wonder Wolf.” The valved version is called “Super Howling.” The only difference between these 2 versions is the Super Howling comes with 2 “attachable” valves and a remote control unit for it. Wonder Wolf has flanges pre-built into the pipes to swap the valves in if one desires. The OP doesn’t have to ship the muffler back, he just needs to get Kreissieg to ship him the valves and remote control module. He could probably easily get this done if he spoke Japanese. 2. The true market price difference between the valved (Super Howling) and non-valved (Wonder Wolf) is roughly $500 in Japan, not the $2300 price difference seen in the American Kreissieg site. 3. Why did Kreissieg ship him a valveless muffler?? Could be an honest mistake on their part OR they simply did him a favor as the valved muffler is finicky and tricky to set up. This is speculation of course. I know someone who purchased a valved Kreissieg for his 355 and it took alot of back and forth (a few weeks) with Kreissieg to get it to setup correctly. Language barrier probably played a factor. My personal opinion is the valved Kreissieg system for the 348/355 is a bit gimmicky. OP should run the muffler as is and see how he likes it. It’s plausible Kreissieg simply didn’t want to go thru the hassle of explaining to him how to setup the valve and module for it. I believe they simply wanted the OP to install it and enjoy it. Kreissieg knows damn well it doesn’t need to be shipped back. They probably told him that to discourage him from going thru the hassle, hence the moment he asked for details of how to send it back, they ghosted him. 4. Kreissieg created an American version of their site to market to westerners. The prices are probably reflective of exchange rates in 2018 when the Yen was stronger. The site does not have live pricing in USD to reflect daily exchange rates changes. As most know, the yen has tanked against USD in the last few years….yet Kreissieg prices in USD haven’t changed. Why?? A few reasons: - Too much hassle to go in and change prices of all their products, especially when you don’t know where the yen is going. They’d also want to give themselves some pricing cushion for exchange rate variability. - High prices help maintain the premium image of the brand amongst westerners. - High prices give their western distributors wiggle room to negotiate a “discounted” transaction to the end user. This also helps keep their “wholesale” prices to their distributor on par to what they sell to the general public in Japan. A win-win for both parties if the transaction can be made. Only problem is if Kreissieg’s western distributors keep the prices too high, the products don’t move as fast to western markets as Kreissieg would like to see. Normally, if a westerner contacts Kreissieg, they would auto defer you to a western distributor. In the OP’s case, they were actually willing to take on the transaction directly and surprisingly quoted him the Japanese MSRP. If the OP were actually a distributor, his price would be even slightly lower. Kreissieg have made it slightly difficult to find prices of their product quoted in Yen unless you can read some Japanese. The price discussion in this thread proves this. Here’s the Japanese MSRP: https://kreissieg-japan.ocnk.net/phone/product-list/2 *Note the product #’s are slightly different to the American Kreissieg site. Here’s the U.S version: https://kreissieg.ocnk.net/phone/product-list?search_tmp=Search&keyword=Ferrari+348+&Submit=Search The OP has no pull or distribution privileges with Kreissieg. He was simply quoted the Japanese MSRP because Kreissieg simply wanted to make a sale. If they quote too high, people are less likely to pull the trigger. Think about it, if the OP were actually a distributor, would he go out of his way to publicly blow up Kreissieg and destroy that business relationship? Doesn’t add up. And if he were a distributor, he would be fully aware of everything I just wrote.
