Those last few pics dont look to real IMO, one part of it is kinda blurred. If that is real however, I feel very bad for that guy.
Not really dangerous, but on Monday I noticed that my dog was messing with something on the grass, so I went out to check what it was. It took me a few seconds, but once it reached the patio I nearly **** myself when I realized that it was a 6" wide Tarantula that was duking it out with my 120lb dog. My neighbor lost one a few years back, and I think the construction brought it out of it's safe haven since they aren't local to the area. I learned that night that I could deal with any sort of insect except for one and more importantly that I can, in fact, squeal like a little girl when provoked. C.
SHES FINE TONY, THE DRS WERE MORE WORRIED ABOUT BLOOD POISENING THEY HAD HER ON A DRIP ANTIBOTIC FOR 24/7 FOR 4 DAYS..
It's probably real! The doctors probably split his finger open to release the presure of the swelling. I think it's pretty common practice here in the states in regards to venomous snake bites as well. j
A friend got bit a few years ago. Because of that I started looking around the web for cures. I found a couple of sites that suggested taking a piece of copper wire and attaching an alligator clip to one end. Then you clip that wire to one post of a stun gun. You then take the other post of the stun gun and the wire to span the area of the wound. Then you electocute the skin in a circle around the wound. This is supposed to neutralize the venom. She wouldn't let me try it. There are before and after stun gun pics here http://www.highway60.com/mark/brs/medical.htm
A bite from the brown recluse or violin spider can most certainly make people lose limbs if not treated after the first few days, can kill the elderly, and those pics are most certainly real. Even though they are not native to the southwest US, I give spiders a good look before I trap and throw them outside. If I found a brown in my house, I'd tent the place to kill every insect in, around, and under the house. Sunny
it looks to me as a Camel Spider??? My brother saw those when he was a soldier somewhere... they are huge and ugly.... if it's such one... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ouch! There are insects and sea creatures in Australia that have no known cure to their venom. Hows that for having a bad day in the garden or reef? *ugggg!*
The desert spiders (I forget their name) are very big. That particular picture is two of them locked together. They love the shade and are not very timid towards people but don't attack people. The brown recluse is around the size of a silver dollar with legs outstretched if I'm not mistaken. They are the size of a big black widow. They have very powerful venom. The most powerful venom on land belongs to a particular ant but its also the dose thats delivered and why the brown recluse is almost a man killer. There are sea creatures with venom worse than the brown and deliver bigger doses. But that just kills you before it dissolves your flesh. Sunny
