The Exorcist. Saw it when it first came out. To this day I still can’t watch it on TV. That thing with evil & demons around us every day freaks me out in a “could happen” kind of way. It comes at you in your dreams. At night, when there is no one else in your house. Feel like pulling the sheet up for no real reason? What movie scared the s*** out of you? Happy Halloween.

I always found the opening scenes in the original B/W 'Night of the Living Dead' to be unsettling.

The exorcist was okay... i saw it when i was a kid... Some pretty good stuff in some parts... The remake of Texas Chain Saw Massacre was great... The fact that the entire movie is entirely possible made it awesome... Amityville Horror is somewhat comparable if you believe in the spiritual side of things... i saw Body Parts when i was a kid; that was pretty freaky, but kinda bizarre because it wasn't too believable... But none of these compare to the things i dream about...

I like "Angel Heart"...not scary in the sense of shock or terror, just gets your hackles up in a real creepy way...brings back all the old superstitions...basically fun.

The original "Alien"...very scary in a terror and shock kind of way.

"Exorcist"...never scared me but a good movie and book.

"Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" did it for me as far as gut-churning scariest. I don't want to see it again.

Don't laugh. The movie that scares me is "Edward Scissorhands". Puts chills down my back just typing it!

Ever since I was a little kid I could not watch it, even to this day and I'm 20. When it is on (very rarely) and my parents see it, they will call me in to their room to "see something", only for me to yell at them and walk away.

Scares the s#it out of me!

My favorite horror movies though are the Halloween and Freddy Krueger series. The remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was great too, especially since the film at the beginning and end are apparently real live footage.

I also really like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. My favorite part was when that cop had the teens in the van, and was egging the one guy on to shoot him.

You definitely have to see the scary ones on the big screen, or atleast something with surround sound.

I am surprised to see someone else who also feels this way about the movie. I found Event Horizon to be one of the scariest/creepiest movies I have ever seen. It was a very effective movie, even though it goes a little over the top at the end. If I could only pick one movie, it would be this one as the scariest.

I watched again on DVD and it wasn't as good, IMO. In the theater it was great.
