    Evil Buddha,

I noticed the SCCA references in some of your posts and that prompted me to check out the Delta SCCA website. Are the events spectator friendly; meaning any problems with someone just hanging around watching the action? What about kid (8 yr old) friendly? On the flyer for the Sept 16 event I do see the disclaimer that everyone has to "pre register" for the Belle Chasse event.

    Any thoughts from anyone else?

The events are all spectator friendly. We are having a Solo2 or Autocross fundraiser for MADD tomorrow (Monday) north of B.R. at the EVOC training center. You are welcome to bring anyone you want. Children must be closely monitored because of the obvious reasons but you can bring him. My seven year old has worked a Delta event as a helper before. Anyone twelve and older will even be able to ride with the drivers to see if you like racing at a normal event. The TLAC race series is our state wide competition and no riders are allowed. Sep 16th is a TLAC event, # III out of IV for the year.

Delta has their summer events at the Belle Chase base. It is a military base and all potential persons showing up must submit their full name and DL # at least a week prior to a race. If you think you are going to go just email it in at our site. Delta is a very diverse group both in age and taste in cars. All great guys and girls. It is a really fun way to enjoy your car and a great learning experience when it comes to car control. Come on out and I will show you around.

FYI, that is not her most flattering angle for a view. I have a few pics in here that I think are a little better. http://forums.audiworld.com/rs4b7/msgs/62398.phtml

Thanks for the info. Where can I get more info on the MADD fundraiser; I don't see anything on the scca site and nothing pops on google.

Thanks yet again! I might make my way there; it gives me a reason to find EVOC, which I first heard of in a karting post. If I go, I'll look for a well driven RS4 and introduce myself.

LOL, I don’t know about a well driven RS4 but I should be there :)

Interesting Ferrari tidbit is that we used to have a dentist from Houma that raced a red 308 or 328 GTS. I don’t remember which one but it was fun to see it run the track.

You just never know what is going to show up to race. Some of the fastest cars at SoloII don’t look fast. I am rather slow and always seem to fall out in the middle of the pack. The RS is fun but she is a PIG ;-)
