    Spoiler....

It was an amazing T1 race we where sitting on turn 1 and had a good view of turns 1-6. The Pole went to a Corvette (last years champion) and the Ferrari (360) took second in the grid. When the green flag flew it was between Ferrari and Corvette the rest of the race. They where with in fraction of seconds having it out for the lead the whole time. Even my wife was enthralled with the race. Then it looked as though the Corvette pulled a head until the next lap around NO corvette it crashed out.

Ferrari takes the win under yellow............it was a great race

Sounds exciting alright. Are you sure it was a 360 and not a 430? Those Chevys tend to have huge engines and I do not think the 360 is in the same class.

Both Ed Zabinski (winner of the race) and Scott Tucker (3rd place) were driving 360 Challenge cars at the Runoffs. There is a picture of Scotts 430 Challenge car as well as his Scuderia in the group of pictures taken by Dan in the original post.

It was a great result for the Level Five Racing Team - apparently the first win for Ferrari in any class at the SCCA Runoffs. Big congrats to the team.

The 360's run in the Touring 1 class with Corvettes, Vipers, etc and the 430s are classed in Super Touring 1 with more potent Corvettes, Vipers, etc. - I don't beleive that ST1 is a National class, yet.

360 Challenges can run in T1 with some well defined mods now, but I'm not sure the same is true for 430 Challenges yet... Zabinski would be the one guy that knows. However, a Challenge Stradale would fit into T1 just fine.

I'd be curious to see how a caged Stradale in T1 would work out. A bit more HP and aero... Level 5, you should try it out!

    Congrats guys!

The 430 Challenge is legal in the Super Touring class - Level Five as well as some others have competed in the past year - successfully...

LevelFive Motorsports Makes Ferrari History at SCCA National Championships
Zabinski and Tucker take two podium finishes

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- It was a race to remember.
Every year drivers from across the nation come to battle it out in that one
last, winner-take-all event -- the National Championship Runoffs.

    http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20081013/AQM096

LevelFive Motorsports was here to show not only its world-class
operation, but here to win. Drivers Scott Tucker and Ed Zabinski competed
in SCCA's T1 class with their No. 55 and No. 77 eData Solutions/US Bank
    Ferrari's.

As the green flag dropped to start the race, Zabinski was in the No. 2
position and Tucker in fourth position as both drivers took their marks.
Feeling no pressure from the Corvettes behind, Zabinski closed in on Andrew
Aquilante of the No. 36 Chevrolet Corvette C6 for the race lead crossing
the finish line and winning the title for the T1 class national
championship. Tucker took the podium taking third place honors. The win was
also historic, as Zabinski's became the first driver ever to win an SCCA
National Championship in any class while driving a Ferrari. Formed in 1944,
this is the first time in history that a Ferrari has won in this
single-marque motorsport championship event. As a piece of history was made
this weekend, LevelFive Motorsports will be known to all in the years to
    come.

"I can't thank this team enough," Tucker stated. "We have all worked so
hard to get here. Not only did we achieve our goal of qualifying for the
championships, but we also went above and beyond to taking the
    championship."

Now a T1 class champion, Zabinski reflected on his past racing career.
"Every race at Topeka, I have started in the front row. And today, I
finished in the front row. After 20 years of racing, this is my first
national championship win and to make history, it's really special."

A customized five-star hospitality program was also put into place for
the year's biggest race, giving existing partners and new clients of
LevelFive Motorsports a taste of sports car racing at its finest.
