Hi Jim, Any idea on how much the added mufflers affected power output, and do you believe a re-think on the exhaust system will recover the loss? -r
To slow the cars down after the fatal accident everyone got a 5% cut at least. Muffler's didn't hurt us too much. We think except for the MB the BOP is close. MB needs to come down more.
Jim, fascinating to follow your project and good luck in the race! Can I ask - why do you have to strip the cars back after each outing? What goes into the maintenance regime as it looks like a huge amount of work? No particular reason for asking, just interested. Thanks.
A six hour race flat out is brutal on a car especially at The Ring. We clean and inspect everything. Our Race motor's need a rebuild after about 8K KLM's/75hours which is actually a lot for an endurance engine many need a full rebuild after 24 hours. We're also still tweaking the car and race cars are continuously tweaked. The modular construction is very easy to work on and the car comes completely apart in a few hours.

I have to say, every time I see the scg badge, I always think of the old Sports Car Graphic mag. It's Pavlovian...
