A bit crazy at the end of practice video when a driver in front crashed, got out without setting brake and the car rolled backwards down the hill into us. We repaired overnight and raced successfully the next day. 9 OA First in class. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
We are getting there. In traffic, running fuel conserving map, with 480 restricted HP and 200KG of ballast we ran an 8:14 during the race (NS+GP) With road HP of about 700, dry weight of 1150KG, and road tires we should kiss 6:30 NS.
The Circuit de la Sarthe being essentially flat with little if any elevation change throughout most of its 8.5 miles, I suppose he figured that setting a brake was unnecessary. You're surely not going to say it was Nico Rosberg, Jim! :-(
Overall this sounds like a great result, and I know it is a nice feeling to see positive progress from your continued tuning and testing. When is the next event for SCG?
Saw the video. Couldn't help but cringe at the bad luck, especially after the N24. Speaks volumes that the team was able to repair her for the next day, and go on to 3rd in class. More to come!
You think? That said that one will never race in a real race ever. It could become a 10mme "FXXK" or if they gave one to us we could turn it into a SPX class racer for the Ring with a different engine of course something from an Audi GT3 for example...
