Hello. I'm looking for a set of 456GT luggage. If anyone has a set, or individual pieces they would like to sell, please message me! Thanks in advance. Regards Gizzi
popping up on ebay Canada (but only 3 out of 4 cases) Ferrari 308 328 Schedoni Tan Leather Luggage Set with Key FOB/Pouch No Res! | eBay
The missing case is the "cubic" vanity, which would not be that difficult to replace, as Schedoni produced it again separatly, not exactly the same, but one very similar in size (I know, 'cause I have one...) during the nineties. But the problem would indeed be the color, as most "tan" cases are all slightly different in color: there is "tan", and there is "tan"... A complete set is always the best investment. Rgds
For me it doesn't look like a 308 set, more like ½ mondial set, because the two big bags are not equal. We all know, that the 308/328 Set includes 2 equal big bags.
That's what I thought at the beginning, but if you look carefully at all the pics, you will see that the case which is behind has been in fact put on a box, this to bring it higher for the pictures, so I think it is in fact a true 308/328 set... Bruno
Yes, Bruno, but it is much smaller, than the other one. For me it looks like one of the mondial8 set, wich are smaller Best wishes Markus
new set on ebay-UK starts at USD 6500.- http://www.ebay.de/itm/Original-Ferrari-308-328-Complete-Schedoni-Leather-Luggage-Set-Suitcase-/171947868868?hash=item2808e442c4 .
Yes, provided that you check the dimension of the cases accurately before buying. Some knowledgeable persons on this forum say that there were actually TWO different sets, one for the "Euro" cars which had a deeper trunk due to the fact that they didn't have a catalysator in the exhaust system; the other one, shorter, for the cars with catalysator (Swiss market version, US market model, Australian Market model, etc...) Rgds
95991701 was the part number for the Pelle set for all but USA-CH-S version cars. 95991657 was the part number for the Cuoio set for all but USA-CH-S version cars. 95991707 was the part number for the Pelle set for USA-CH-S version cars. 95991674 was the part number for the Cuoio set for USA-CH-S version cars. All according to the Idea Ferrari catalog. The USA-CH-S cars had a shallower trunk due to the space left for the catalytic converters and the heat shielding. I have a set and I can tell from the photos in the Ebay ad that there is quite a bit of difference.
That's a VERY difficult one...very tricky! Hope Alberto will chime in. Litterally speaking, the word "pelle" in italian means "skin"; and the word "cuoio" means "leather". However, "pelle" is from time to time used in the sense of "leather", especially for shoes, such as in "Pelle scamosciata" (means deerskin here) And "Cuoio" also means a leather color, akin to tan/buff/fawn. If it were for shoes and these were black, it would be "pelle nero". So my guess is that for the luggage, "pelle" and "cuoio" are used for different grade of leather. But it is only a guess, as I am not Italian: nobody is perfect... Rgds
These are not the bag's four dust covers, which are in canvas and more or less beige/tan in color, with a big black cavallino (four cavallinos = cavallinis...) but the sheaths (or pockets) for the shoes; thoses from my set are green. This set seems to be missing the four bags' dust covers. Rgds
Correct. Sometimes on the canvas bag dust cover there isn't the cavallino (I suppose on the first produced), but the correct color is that. ciao
It is not in this case for the grade of leather but the color. One is brown, rather dark and the other lighter but I can never remember which is which. The Idea catalog translates Cuoio to Morocco leather whatever that suggests but gives no other identification. It shows the 2 colors. If I am not mistaken the Ebay ad referenced above is for the darker of the 2. The other color is lighter but not as light as one of the beige interiors. I'll email you the pictures from the catalog and you'll see what I mean. It is not a huge difference in any case.
