What are we arguing here, that MS stinks? That he is only winning now because of a good car, or politics? Yes, this season he has a fantastic car, but records aren't made in one season. In the very same rankings listed above Barichello isn't anywhere near MS on the standings.

And Williams has a car capable of doing very fast laps. Hell, give it to a guy like Webber, he deserves it more than that loudmouth JPM.

However, the year before (2002) the car absolutely dominated everything. The 2003GA was somewhat of a letdown and the driving ability of MS brought that car home the double WC winner that it is. The 2004 has the grace and nimbleness of the 2002 with the outright speed of the 2003GA. And as we have seen this year, there is a lot more car under MS and RB than they have been willing to show.

It still doesn't get over the fact that last year, for a fair number of races, the Ferraris simply did not have pace compared to the frontrunners in the field. In order for one to make an argument that other drivers couldn't give MS a good fight in equal cars you have you prove he is THAT good. He should have pace at every race, even with a slightly inferior car(and if he has an equal car he should win, right?). I will still contend that if anyone one of the aforementioned drivers switched cars with MS then those races would be lopsided as well(this season).

I many are using Michael's phenomenal performances both in 2002 and this year that combined his car and his great driving ability as a baseline to measure his other accomplishments. This simply should not be done. If you look at Michael's performance last year, how could you argue that he didn't dominate the competition?

Any other year with any other driver, Michael's performance last year would have been heralded by all. This is sort of similar to Tiger Woods and the way people put him down for the year he had last year. Sure, he didn't win multiple majors and 9 tournaments, or even the money list, but he was still the #1 player in the world by far and the player of the year.

Yeah Mr. Payne, those Championships were really lucky. And those wins? Boy he sure lucked into those 75. THose podiums? I'm sure a lot of #2 drivers moved over for him to get that many - lucky dude! And all those other accomplishments? Man, this guy is from Luckytown. Oh my gawd!!!!!! It can't be!!!!! Maybe an FIA conspiracy?!?!?!

OK Juan, you have been identified. Go back to your web site and talk to the people who believe in your self absorbed fantasies.
