    Well, not everyone applies to that rule I guess. Anyway, this karting track is home or has been run at by countless professionals and F1 guys. It's as common a track to karting as Valencia is to F1.

    I'm not sure as in positive, but I highly highly suspect it. I've been around karting for quite a while and know a few of the drivers that race the same type of kart he practices with. I was also involved at the race Cig1 posted. While his racecraft is some of, if not, the best I've seen, Schumi's outright speed isn't quite there.

    Also, at Kerpen (his track in Germany) he likes to run a different tire that is not legal for the racing class his kart would compete in. That tire is a bit quicker than the official KZ2 tires.

    If you are just there to turn laps for practice, you aren't testing for a specific racing class so why purposely slow yourself down...?

    Thought this was interesting. MB has a 'engine' challenge where journalists and former F1 mechanics come in to the engine factory and put things together and are timed.

    Nico did it in 3:15 and Schu did it in 3:00 dead. All other former F1 mechanics and journalists were well over 4:30.

    Anyone else notice how much smoother MS was and how badly Liuzzi was abusing his tires but still could not pass?
