MS in an interview after Japan: He states that Ferrari was never competitive enough all season long to fight for the title. And he also does not expect a podium for Shanghai.

I love this honesty and openess and appreciate it a lot more than the "hurray, we can still clinch the title" lines we heard out of Maranello in in mid season when it was clear that there was no hope.

It is one thing to motivate the team, it is another to be a day dreamer. Lets look forward to 2006.

actually, something i've always admired schumi, apart from being a champ, he's always honest with things. if he's in the wrong, he'll readily admit it..remember imola this year? he admitted he made a crucial mistake in quali and cost him the race. furthermore, he'll always admit if ferrari are competitive or not, etc. he doesn't talk about unrelevant things...

I know I shouldn't egg him on, but I can't help but wonder how Imperial views this...?

Michael is the greatest racer to have ever driven an F1 car. He will be back in 2006. To think otherwise is simply naive.

As for 2005, all great eras come to an end and I consider myself blessed to have witnessed such an era of Ferrari dominance. I will always support Ferrari as long as I live and I will always ask for a Ferrari 1 - 2 at every race.

    Shanghai GP: Ferrari 1-2!

I demand that level of performance as a fan of Ferrari!

It could happen if Michelin forgot to bring the proper tyres to Shanghai like in Indy!

Not even if China refused import permits, and everyone had to run identical Chinese taxicabs.

Schumi might have a chance, but Rubens gave up when he decided to bail out. Nobody wins style points in the Last Dance.

Besides, last time Schumi took to a track in a street car, Massa whupped him. ;) (ROC, Ferrari 360s, Paris, last January)
