A friend saw it - couldn't remeber if it was in a magazine though. He said he had an F1 car mounted to the wall................
Is it in his house or in his museum? I believe he built a museum near his family's karting track in Germany that houses an example of every race car he has driven. It seems only logical that he would have a trophy hall there as well.
check F1-live.com his new house has a massive trophy room, 24 garage car park, a beach, a cinema for 20 people, etc, etc.
it was posted here, and on F1-live.com several months ago. it was last year. they even had pics of the house being built.
I can remember reading about this trophy case last year and something to the order of [sounds excessive even for him] 50 feet long and about 6.5feet high.
Sounds about right. Remember that every podium place gives you a nice flower vase. Present that nicely and you end up with a 50 feet wall. Ever played F1 for the PS2? You got a virtual trophy for every podium as well and the game shows it in a virtual trophy room. Has about those dimensions. And that's just one season.
91 first place trophies, probably about 50 more 2nd and 3rd place, then all the ones he's won in other series. His trophy room would be gigantic.
Anyone has pictures of it finished? I also wonder if it has space for 24 cars, what are the machines that occupy it. They can not all be Ferraris...
I had a chance to be in Switzerland a few months ago. You are unable to see the house from the road, but when you are landing at Geneva you can spot it. Good for Michael he deserves a great place like that.
The so-called "Trophy Room" is indeed at the Musem. The house is not yet complete and on the same site that the previous pictures were sourced you can see its status as of last week. The garage is under the staff house and will have space for 10 cars and maintenance equipment and vehicles for the premises... Best, M
