No surprise MS is a sell-out like the lisenced Ferrari products.

But for a Fiat... I know Ferrari and Fiat have a connection - Italy - but come on...

I don't think it's a sell out.... He's a paid employee, doing an ad for his employer....

He's a multi-millionaire (billionaire by now?) superstar, doing ads for crappy quality vehicles in the low-end market.

I've just joined FerrariChat as it was recommended to me only to find that the first thread I read is your post putting cars I own down as low end crap.. I own 5 of those crapy quality low end market Fiats you refer to, so take that I'm being pegged as some no hoper because I own fiats! What a great way me to start on this forum.

The connection Fiat have with Ferrari is that they bought a 50% stake in Ferrari to stop Ferrari going to the wall in the early 70's due to the fuel crises when no-one wanted petrol guzzling cars. So chances are there wouldn't be a Ferrari like we all know it these days without Fiat. To me that's a hell of a connection.

You're kind of late, because he's been doing ads for Fiat (and other companies) for years now..

Don't worry, some Ferrari AND Fiat enthusiasts here too. My little runabout ;)

actually, that was 1969, before the oil crisis. So i don't think stopping ferrari going to the wall in the 70's was their main reason. Enzo was trying to sell the company as far back as 1963 because of low demand and finances. If your gonna throw a hissy fit as your first post, at least get your facts straight.

oh, and by the way, i own a fiat too. and they are low end pieces of crap.

anyway, looks like the vid was pulled. if anybody finds it, please repost.

I can't even understand all the negative comments about Shumi.... The guy doesn't need the money, he is just always looking for something to do.. It's not like he could just sit around the house and do nothing and considering his fame and fortune, he's bound to end up all over the place to all sorts of things. It's not like the guy can hide from all of his fans and just disappear from the public eye.... Can you imagine what Ferrari and Formula one would be without his presence over the last 15 years or more?

Lighten up, if you were in his position you'd be doing commercials too.
Especially what they're paying him. Also, those " low end market cars "
are what give Fiat the means with which to finance the F1 team, so don't
knock it. I'm sure Button does ads for Honda Accords as well.

Or how about Competitive... Before Schumi joined up Ferrari hadn't been competitive in 21 years...

Isn't it interesting the even through the famine that LDM had his hand on the real configurator at Ferrari pulling the strings. Many have come and gone but LDM has not relinquished his hold on Ferrari SpA. From the special color chosen for a new Ferrari to who drives the F1 car all have had his approval.

Hey genius, who do you think owns Ferrari? Fiat and Ferrari have a little more in common than being Italian companies.

LDM is a global mastermind of the best kind.......very subtle yet powerful, with a perfect pulse on the future.

He could run Italy, if not the United Nations if he wanted to.
