makes me ashamed to own a ferrari with all this cheating going on
haha , you really dont know much about Ferrari history then ... Anyway , about the MC incident , i still havent made up my mind . One thing for sure , the sanction is too strict when they clearly arent 100% sure .
Im assuming your talking about qualifying in Monaco today, and if you watched the interviews he said he could not engage reverse, and then inevitably the car stalled. Coming around the bend he was cutting the corner very close and a millisecond adjustment to not hit the corner was logical, even if it did result in "holding up Alonso" as some people think, apparently you. You should never be ashamed of owning a Ferrari either, it is a privilege many would die for, me included. Schumi is the best F1 has ever seen and honestly today the FIA lost some of my respect for launching an investigation, which to me seems like it was just because Alonso was behind him. The cars mess up every now and then give me a break!
Enzo Ferrari ? Rings a bell ? You know he never wanted to follow the rules and always bent them the way he wanted..
But what does that have to do with him driving his Ferrari? Thats no reason to be ashamed, thats just what i wanted to say
When he stopped, he still could have cleared the wall. These guys are so good they can drive between toothpicks. He said he did not want to back up because he did not know what was behind him, then he said he stalled the car. Sorry, I don't buy any of it. Cheating or following team orders, who knows? Clearly, Alonso was upset during the interview.
You didnt understand . My point was that Ferrari history is filled with this kind of incidents. Enzo always tried to follow his own regulations and then impose it to the governing body of the time . On the track , of the track , with car homologations etc.. So why be ashamed now of owning a Ferrari when it has always been this way.
Max Mosley stated today that it would be wrong to suggest the MS was cheating. It amazes me how some of you know so much, not being there, in the car. Maybe it was intentional, maybe it was not. The point being, none of us really know.
What we do know is if it was any other car or driver it would have been acceptable. Thats for sure, but MS god fobid, he did it one purpose....you non blievers are so quick to burn him to the stake....yet you cant drive your own cars, but you feel your view is right. Funny.
i say sell your Ferrari and get off this forum you fair weather fan! go do some hot laps in your Le Car!
I'd gladly take the 512M Simon, did you watch the race on Live Timing or are you going to wait for CBS? Or will you not bother at all?
I think you are a little too sensitive and are taking this a little personal. There is a chance that MS is telling the truth.
I'm at work today. watched live timing intermittantly. Tivo'd the race. will likely watch it tonight or def tomorrow. don't have the patience to wait for Speed Channel coverage next weekend (friday at MN)
F*** Flavio, F*** Fernando, and F*** the FIA. IMO he lost the back end and did well to keep it out the wall. Viva Ferrari. At least Schumi managed to get a few poimts back from what would have been an even worse weekend. Seeing as though he is going to make up his mind in the next few weeks whether he will continue, I think this has damaged the chances of him wanting to sign up for next year. He will be thinking: 'why should I bother with all this crap'.... which is a real pity. Now I just want Alonso to have a DNF or two and then I will feel much better!
Does MS need to cheat? I mean they were going to be on the front row together anyway right? Even if the other car would have beat his time.
Exactly. That's my point also, he didn't need to cheat since he still wold have secured the front row, so my opinion is it was some sort of brain freeze. Stephane Scaledetails
