Don't give away race results in the title and use "SPOILER" if they are in the text please.

Aside from that: Not much of a surprise, isn't it?

I hope the sporting rules in F1 regarding the tire rule change for next year. Feel free to disagree but limiting a cars performance and restricting the drivers abitlity by having to "nurse" the tires to last a round and the engine for two full rounds. Here we are with F1 arguably the most advanced form of motorsport with some of the most talented drivers in the world only to be limited by rules and lack of using available equipment. I am a specator and watching an event that is doctored by the sporting regulations well........stinks. I love F1 and will continue to follow for many years but I also enjoy a great show so let the racing world give us what we want in wich they have proven to have the ability but choose to do otherwise.

    couldn't agree more.

the FIA did everything in it's power to make sure that ferrari didn't win 84 percent of it's races this year. michelin is a french company. renault is a french company. the FIA is headquartered in, you guessed it, france.

david hobb's mentoned today on speed (tv) that the FIA changed the rules to allow a driver to replace tyres if there is a flat spot (after kimi crashed). this was done for "safty reasons" the reason formula one cars have changed their tyers for over 50 bleeping years in F1 is for just that. safty.

well FIA, you accomplised what you set out for. to dethroned ferrari. now can we go back to one hour, fastest lap wins poll and maybe, just maybe tyre changes in the pitstop?

Only after they implement, for the last four races, a new rule that any driver who talks in monotones is disqualified. ;)

One hour qual, engines as needed, any number of tires but give penalty for wearing them too thin.

And if you want to slow down the cars in a manufacturer's series -- impose emissions tests. Or noise limits. Let's get the big brains figuring out how to run the new V8s clean and fast, rather than how to pass individual national loopholes.

It's not the rules that did Ferrari in this year , it's the tires and car itself.
Bridgestones aren't up to it and remember, the car design this year was not by Rory Byrne. Let's see what happens next year, since it's a "clean" slate so to speak with most switching to V-8's. I do hope they bring back tire changes, it's getting dangerous. Montoya could've lost it like Kimi a few races back.

"it's not the rules that did ferrari in this year, it's the tyres..."

the fact that ferrari couldnt switch to fresh tires in the pits is exactly the reason they couldn't comptet.

    your post contradicts itself.

He has a room full of trophies from the last 6 years. I'll bet he has to add onto his home, homes for all the trophies. He ran like hell and was smoking for a long time. I believe he still has the nerve to run fast.

Look on the bright side for all the rest of the year, he can still manipulate the team to screw over Rubens, like he did at Monza when Rubens was p*ssing all over him. Forza Rubens.

The fact is certain individuals make deals with the devil, if a certain driver was not killed on May 1st 1994, this would be a mute point. That individual would have been racing for Ferrari in 96 with 70 Plus wins and 85 Pole Positions in addition to 5 WC's by 96 with an Honest Record ( Take Note Impy no traction control or launch control as the Benetton had in 94) . Look at the big picture in perspective. Look at Season 92 and 93 to get a better perspective. In addition to having the Balls to have a second driver on equal terms ( ie Prost, Berger, etc.). Unlike certain People who have to have a number 2.

While I admit that I am a huge Ferrari fan, there is no show anymore, if I didn't have to write an article about the race every event, I wouldn't even watch it anymore.

*sigh*...i must agree to all of u all above... f1 is dangerous, it's all part of the game, and using the excuse of ' to reduce the car speeds ' 2 ensure schumi and ferrari don;t run away with it isn't the right way...in fact, the damn tyre sucks...sucks 2 hell...look at monty, kimi and rubinho at the italian gp...all had left rear tyre probs...kimi could have challenged for a podium if he wasn't suppose 2 make an extra stop...totally unfair... change the rules...change the ******* rules...
