Seeing as they can't get the ad right I wonder how good the car actually is ! Advertised as a 400i in the link but stated as a 400GT in the text, it's actually a carbed 400 plus it's advertised as a manual but is in fact an auto (see interior shot). I called to be 100% sure that they hadn't messed up the pix somehow but it's an auto. Used FERRARI 400i COUPE for sale - PistonHeads (Ref 1570701)
Thought that this may have been the same car but its not. Stunning 400 For Sale (1979) on Car And Classic UK [C359287] Two blue 1979 carbed 400 autos for sale at the same time in the UK and not too far apart. What are the odds ?
Save this line for future ad: this is an enormous amount of Grand Touring Ferrari for a relatively modest outlay
Never have truer words been spoken - in many ways I'd like it to stay that way because if (or when) they go up at some point we'll all be kicking ourselves for not snapping more up while they were affordable. The difference is that we would have been doing it for the love of the model, not greed or speculation.
Well the confusion didn't help as it didn't make the estimate £14000-£18000 and was unsold at auction
Any idea what it was bid up to ? There's so much confusion as to a correct pricing structure for these cars where do you start ?
