Scott Speeds brakes, & engineers response (Monaco Spoiler)

Hey,

I thought someone would have been all over this - Scott reports "brake pedal going to the floor", engineer responds with "understood, keep pushing!"

My only conclusion is that the telemetry was telling the engineers that the pedal was *not* going to the floor - Unless they're trying to kill the guy - Which seems a little over the top even if they don't like him very much.....

More significantly though, I believe (possibly wrongly?) that the "team radio" is heavily censored and the teams control what can get broadcast - Are they trying to make Scott look like a complete plonker?

Why?

Very odd IMHO - He either had his best ever run without brakes or he is indeed unable to tell when he has brakes - Which is almost as concerning

Exactly my point! - Especially at Monaco, no brakes = retire [It's not like you can throw the car sideways to slow it down after all ]

I've got to assume that Scott simply "talks that way" and the team checked the data and saw no/only a minor problem. [Unless, as I said above, they *really* want to get rid of him ]

But still even more surprising to me is the fact that the team made the exchange public - Matchett was shocked into silence at the response - He never tires of reminding us that "in this situation it's the drivers call."
