I have a Dr side wing window from a GTSi with a significant scratch on the inside presumably from the po wearing a ring which got dragged across the glass. I've had it now for many years sitting in a box. Does it have any value? ~30 - 40 bucks?? I just looked it up and its ~$165 for a new piece. I was going to Ebay it, but feel funny / embarrassed to offer an item that is damaged and there is no practical way to repair. It's not cracked/chipped/broken, but has a humdinger of a scratch right in the center that's ~3" long.

How do fellow F-chatters feel about seeing something like this on Ebay? I figure if you've got a broken window, you're not bugged by this (it might be possible) and it's ~1/4 the price of new ???

    Or am I depriving a landfill :)

Hey I'd say give it a go. Someone may have one totally trashed and yours is
better than what they have. Save it from a landfill!

And I'd REALLY love to come up with some snappy Doctor Side Wing joke at
this point... but I'd probably sound politically incorrect, so will have to abstain

    :D

Put it on eBay with no reserve, be honest about what it is and the condition it's in, and see if anyone wants it. My opinion is that nothing is worthless if someone wants to buy it. Who knows, there might be someone out there who can replace the glass in these things.

As long as you tell the truth about what you have and don't demand some ridiculous price for it, I don't see a problem.

We used to sell used tents on eBay. Some of them had gigantic rips and I couldn't see how they'd be repairable but people would buy them anyway, often for more than what a brand new tent would cost. Go figure. As long as you are 100% honest about what you are selling, the rest is up to the buyer. I'd say to start it at $1 and see what happens.

have a glass company fill and polish the scratch first, and have full disclosure when you sell it as "repaired" but serviceable.
