I won't buy anything off ebay if the seller doesn't take paypal. I always use the credit card option on Paypal too.

There are two types of people in this world.

Those who have been screwed by PayPal

and those who will be screwed by PayPal.

I am definately not a fan of PayPal. I do accept it as a means of payment because i am positive most buyers will avoid me if i dont. I think PayPal does have us by the the balls, as a seller.

I did open a seperate bank account and I keep $100.00 only in it. If they ever decide to steal money, theyre only getting a $100.00. Make sure you ALWAYS give an option thru your PayPal invoice to insure a package. If you didnt give the option, then youre beat. Friend of mine got screwed that way. I prefer USPS for most of my international shipments (about 3-4 month). Ive never had an issue with them to date, and they are usually the best rates for my oversized packages. Whether the buyer pays extra or not, i always spend the $1.45 i think it is for tracking. Money well spent. My shipping charges are not unreasonable for what I sell, but they are toward the high end of the spectrum. Most buyers dont realize what goes into shipping. The materials, the time, etc. I have insured some hefty priced packages out of my own pocket and chalked it up to cost of sale. Ill spend an extra $25.00 to protect $3500.00 any day.

I have noticed lately that a few of my buyers have chosen to mail me Money orders and bank checks, both domestic and international. Honestly, I tell them if they do that, ill save them the paypal fees and chop the price. I have no problem passing the savings on. I think thats more then fair and my feedback to date is perfect. I personally bank more on feedback then if a buyer takes PayPal. PayPal is more convienience, in my eyes. Feedback is what determines whether im going to watch your auction or pass.

That's why I never ship anything larger than letter-sized via USPS. They just leave things at the door, and I've had items taken before.

I don't sell on EBay. I do use Paypal for any online sales.

Ebay is full of scams. I think you out to filter out international buyers and those that have bad feedback. Try selling elsewhere that has a trusted audience like this website for example. Paypal works well if there are no complaints (duh). It's amazing that you get screwed over and over. I'd definitely use a different Paypal account next time if at all. Otherwise, you'll be flagged as a fraudster and always get ruled against you.

How quickly do you ship out stuff? Getting stuff mailed out 1-2 days after payment is normal. Beyond that, it' s bad. Always have tracking number and send to buyer so they are kept up to date.
