    My driver door won't close.

The reason, because when the door opens the window doesn't open that little bit like it normally does to then allow the door to close. So, to fully close the door I need to first lower the window slightly via the electric window switch, close the door, then completely close the window. (Yes, the elctric window drive works)

Does anyone know what controls the window open/close action when openning or closing the doors? Where is the part situated?

    Thanks.

If the 430s are like the 360, there are two micro switches involved. The first is on the door lock within the door to signal the window drop upon ingress. The second is on the interior door release lever to signal the window drop upon egress.

If the window does not drop either way, I recommend cyclying the power via the knob in the trunk.

Just saw your post. Happened to me a month ago. It's the electric window module. You need to replace it. You can get it from Eurospares. Doesn't coat much. Its a DIY repair.

The green module box is located on the rhs. If yours is a rhd, it's just under the dash next to the front frame pillar. Just unscrew two bolts an it falls off. Unplug it and plug in the new module. It's done.

    Easy peasy.

    Trust me. It's the module.

That doesn't solve the problem. The problem for the op is the it doesn't slide down a half inch when the door release latch is pulled. With the window fully up you'll do more damage to the subframe that holds the glass when you slam it against the doorframe. Do it once, no issues. Do it a couple of times and the glass will become shaky.

Thanks for the info F430Addict & netman. Before I give that module replacement a go, does the GLASS LIFTING ELECTRONIC CONTROL STATION
control both wondows or is it a seperate unit for each side?

The car is LHD and the right (passenger) door window works.

One module controls both left and right windows. Unfortunately unless you're a tech wiz, you won't be able to crack open the case and diagnose what actually faulty on your current module.

Today, just for the hell of it, I disconnected the power at the terminal under the front hood. I had tried this before (I know it cures many computer glitches) to no avail.

Today however, I left it off for about 30 mins and when I turned it all back on - problem solved!

Thanks again for the tips. This site is a wealth of information.

Lucky bugger you! Mine refused to wake up even after reboot.

Saved yourself a couple hundred bucks there.
