I've never seen a Ferrari 430 Scudiera, as advertised on the site. Do you think they can outengineer Ferrari? As your car is still under warranty, I'd be very hesitant to do anything to it this early in the game to give them an excuse to deny coverage. I would be inclined to state the electronics are as much the heart of the Scuderia as the engine.
I think it's a total waste of money. Why? Because it does not solve any problem for this car. I have a Scud as well and it's more than adequate (understatement) for a track oriented road car. Even the 430 challenge car has the same engine. Extra money spent on the 430 challenge was spent on safety, which solves a problem for dedicated track use. If I wanted to spend a couple grand on my cars today, I would buy a Brunnhoelzl Warrior jack and some Swissvax Devine wax and I would leave the ECU tuning for cars that need it.
Its a complete waste for the following reasons: 1) the performance gains are highly questionable 2) it could damage the car 3) it will void the warranty 4) it will hurt your resale value 5) the Scud already outperforms 99.9% of all drivers abilities Tim
The main reason to flash the ecu is because I want to install Kreissieg exh and I don't want to get the check engine light on.
All kidding aside, the standard Scuderia exhaust (sound) doesn't meet your standard? That is kind of surprising. I would check with your dealer manager and go over a few things that the above post 16M mentioned (warranty, etc ). Ask them if it will automatically throw a code and CEL. If it affected warranty in any way, I would steer clear. Could become the most expensive exhaust system in the world.
