    Hi guys,
This is probably a great product based on past forum discussions, but how many of you have actually installed it and felt it proactively and accurately detected impending issues?

I have a 2006 F430 (F1) with 15K miles on it and am thinking of getting it. I installed the Scud Ing E-diff bypass a couple of months back, mainly as a preventive measure to not have to deal with future E-diff issues and also get better hydraulic performance on the F1 pump. The car transformed for the better. Smoother shifts and ride for sure. So very happy with the product.

I am on the fence on the smart relay though. Seems to me replacing my 50 amp F1 relay every couple of years should suffice vs putting the smart relay in. I also worry about false positives resulting in needless trips to the mechanic. I average about 1K miles a year (pure weekend pleasure road trips) and never track my car.

Worth upgrading to the smart relay?

    Thanks for any insights!
    RRD.

I’ve had mine installed for about four years and wouldn’t be without it. I like being able to monitor the F1 pump run time and I’ve had no false indications.

Thanks AandSC. Is the maintenance mode easy to configure? I imagine you need to set it up, especially for F1 maintenance like F1 fluid flush. Do you always set up maintenance mode during all services?

IMHO..both marketing gimmick..not necessary and just silly ..sorry just my opinion..one to cover up a problem that someone refuses to fix and the other a very expensive toy

And that's coming from somebody who knows a little bit about the F1 and Ediff systems..,[emoji1]

Thanks for your frank opinion flash32. Care to elaborate? [emoji4] What is the problem getting covered up and which one is the expensive toy? Personally I liked how the car felt after installing the E- Diff bypass. And I don’t track the car so felt I don’t need the E- Diff anyways, so best to keep it disabled and have one less moving part in the system to worry about.

I have one on mine as well. Mainly for the reliability of the solid state relay. I wouldn't discount anything flash32 says either. He's very knowledgeable. Realistically, any issues could probably be staved off just by replacing the relay with a fresh one every so often. I just like gadgets. You'll get a ton of differing views on your ediff delete module. I have one I bought but never installed. I keep it on the shelf in case something fails and I need a quick work around until I get it repaired. Like what was mentioned, if you notice a difference by installing it, then something likely was not right and needed to be fixed.
