Let's say I was fortunate enough to be in the market for a scuderia. . . .what options are "must haves?" tx
I dunno, maybe without a top and a new pair of sunglasses, a good becker radio (with NAV of course), I could see it of course I would add a playstation hookup
#1. "Shift-light LED" on the steering wheel #2. 4-point harness safety belt #3. "Racing Livery" stripe
its the all red alcantara interior, some guy have here : I'll buy one if i can get this exact interior : Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thats my car!!!! I've got more pics if you need it! Definitely go for the full red alcantara interior!!! Its a must have!
Could you post more pics? What's behind the seats? What are the option codes for this interior? Thanks.
I totally agree, what ever you do, don't forget the Stripe. But make sure you get the $400 one, not the $8000 one, because it sounds like you are on a budget.
Also TPMS. CF is a waste of $ - just too expensive. Standard interior is the best IMO. Alcantara very 2004
Agree completely with you. Tech fabric is superb, and will last well. Not mad about the red, yellow or grey 3D-fabric in seats - especailly as it does the roof lining too. I've just spec'd mine this week - must have's: LED steering 4-point harness Racing stripe (original factory one) Standard tech-fabric interior Grey/silver wheels (the gold wheels will date badly) Door moulding/inside wheel arch in tech fabric & carbon fibre door cill (the welds look sh*t actually) Leave all the CF options out - frankly ridiculous since they only shed 10-15 kgs (the driver weights/fuel level will add more than that) and you can't see them - all painted except for the tiny front spoiler and rear diffuser which actually looks better NOT in CF.
Great minds think alike I got my tech fabric in plain black and it looks fantastic in my opinion. I can live with the welds so I did not go for the door mouldings
Agree with you ,did not order CF but had to pay for it since it became "mandatory" option in US. My car is very basic,no radio but this very expensive spoiler and diffuser is there...
No I don't. I'm sure many will disagree, but to each their own. Regarding CF, just like the Stradale its a purpose built car. Anything that furthers its purpose is necessary IMO. Even if it only does that by only 1 gram I would get it. But thats just me.
Here is the problem. If you buy a CF splitter, you have to be prepared for some very expensive repairs if you actually use the car. Sh_t happens and CF cannot be repaired and fibreglass can. I wonder it you would still be prepared to say "thats just me" when you see the price of a replacement CF splitter. If I was forced to get one by the dealer I would have to take it off until I sold the car!!!
here you go... some more pics of the car at the dealership during PDI, others of it first day it came home. hey sting....what exactly do you mean by "whats behind the seats"? the rear wall is red alcantara, and the seat backs obviously are carbon fiber. i'll get you the exact option codes in a bit, as they're on my pc at work.
Here's my options list....this is copied directly from my order confirmation sheet that was sent to me by the dealer... As you can see, they don't mention option codes, which is just one of the many problems i had with the dealer. Check out the spelling mistakes, as well as the "gold stripes" which I had personally ordered, but never got, which the dealer blamed on the factory. It's a long story that you'd find in a May/June thread I started upon taking delivery. yes I would still do it. Keep in mind I've replaced the CF rotors to the tune of 50k, driven mine 20,000 miles, and countless track laps. I didn't put steel ones on like some have, and I know they may need to be replaced again someday. My 40 scrapes on everything, and while the parts are not CF they expensive to replace as you probably know. That doesn't mean I'm careless in the way I drive it, quite the opposite, but as you say, sh_t happens. My Stradale has been a very high maintenance car, and I suppose the Scuderia will be equally expensive to maintain if not more so as it ages and serious miles are put on it. Yet I still drive them all like the first day I bought them, on the track, in the rain and sometimes even the snow. but again thats just me.
