What???? Are u trying to get a reaction from members? There are so many members here who have owned both and have chosen one over the other. But to make a statement like that.... dude????
This is asinine. It's like arguing whether Blondes are better than Brunettes or vice versa. I guess people need to argue. The same people (Ferrari lovers) who will unite in their opposition to Lambos will turn on each other in a heartbeat over whether their particular favorite Ferrari is better than any other Ferrari. Mind boggling!
ha! my wife might argue against that but i agree, the 599 and Suderia are so freakin different, it is pointless to agrue. blondes/brunettes, whiskey/tequila, waterboarding/electric shock, new kids/nsync, hard porn/soft porn,
Spell check will not underline "of" or "off" since those are the correct spellings of "of" and "off" respectively. And it's "truly," not "truely." Spell check WILL underline "truely."
I have had any V12 that caught my interest over much longer than a few months... 35,000kms on a 550, first 599 in Asia, another 599 after that... I have a V12 now in my Daytona...
Very easy - Search posts. Our friend is a Taiwanese but located in nyc/oc...He has a 2007 599gtb and 2005 430 coup. He travels to Taiwan, Tainan frequently but in new york at the moment. Sometimes helpful if questioning someone's point of view to see what their experience is. Our friend has both V8 and V12 with many other fcars in the past including CS so his views are based on broad experience
Correct but just to clarify. I sold my second 599 well in advance of delivery of my Scud. Reason is that I found the 599 a bit big for daily use in HK - 599 is the ultimate for open road use and there is little of that in my daily routine in HK. The decision to sell the 599 had nothing to do with the Scud. If I found the 599 useful, I would have kept it irrespective of the arrival of my Scud or the imminent arrival of my 16M. For new Ferraris, I only keep them if I enjoy driving them regularly on the road. I am very optimistic that the 16M is going to be a perfect car for my needs. It is smaller and more nimble than a 599 and the open top experience should be glorious on the southside of HK Island
You work for the Chinese CIA? hehe Apologies for the earlier comments, after re-reading them I noticed I did come off too rash. Each is entity to their opinion and choice, the Scuderia is an amazing car and we are blessed to be arguing about these 2 different cars.
ridiculous.. and how many under 30's can afford a scud to even be able to make that generalization???? Maybe this applies to the cars in Dubai.. but around the world you wont find that many under 30 year olds owning a scud or a 599
As an aside, English is a wonderfully complex, obtuse and irrational language, but in the context of DM's post "wide of the mark" is absolutely correct as it implies a relative position to the "mark" in question, and "off the mark" is equally correct as it implies a specific situation relating to the "mark". Now "wide off the mark" is just silly, but probably acceptable is the broader irrational sense of English. Just my humble opinion.
