I thought that your question was regarding potential accident repair. The trim installed is the base spec lightweight trim.
It looks a little sloppy but I have no idea if that is "normal." I'd check mine but I have the fully trimmed "boot" so I can't visually confirm. Surely someone can chime in with the lightweight boot option and confirm if there front trunk looks similar.
I will take a look in mine the next time I get her down off the lift Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I just looked, and while I have a trimmed boot secured by allen bolts and glue, I did see a limited portion in the front, and the welds were visible/similar to yours. I'd visit a dealer and show the pics you have to a factory tech to be sure.
Oh thank you so much, that's very kind of you. I revisit the car tomorrow for a test drive and I will commit or not.
How do you guys feel about this ..seems very low ..is it UK vs USA or have the scuds just not gone up as much as we thought https://www.bonhams.com/auction/27996/lot/89/2009-ferrari-f430-scuderia-coupe-chassis-no-zffkz64b000165893/ Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
Some customs drag if you Wanted it to stay in UK it’s why I asked about importing one to US - in Europe they are still pre Covid priced
The UK and EU Scud's aren't necessarily cheap - the US market is so over inflated and disconnected from other global markets. Two new Scud' have come on the market this past week, one at $400k and the other at $370k, Ferrari dealers are doubling down on trying to establish higher and higher baseline prices. Meanwhile the same 18 or so cars have been on sale for 6+ months at official dealers with no price movement, The market is stagnant. I made a pretty strong offer on one of them and there is no flexibility.
The problem is that these "exotic" cars have become a real financial investment and are no longer an object of fantasy for real fans. By this I mean that these cars are bought to make money and no more to give pleasure....
This is why I love my 70k mile example so much. I literally do not care a bit about piling on the miles. Super fun cars…to drive!
Hi everyone I haven’t checked this thread for a while (and I do miss my scud very much!) so are scuds now in the $300s?
