The car looks fantastic, but I still think that the market prefers red, and recently white. With the possible exception of Grigio Silverstone (see scud value calculator), I believe all other colors are less desirable to the market as a whole.

I remember someone on this forum trying to convince us that his car was more valuable because it was a "unique" color and few were made in that color. While this "rarity" argument sounds fine on paper, the reality is that Ferrari is associated with the color red and that color will likely always command a premium, even though many Ferraris are produced in red. While rarity is often a factor in valuation, desirability is really the key. There are lots of "rare" cars out there that aren't worth that much because few desire them.

Market value wise, I think giallo is right there after white/red. Then alongside yellow its probably the silvers.

We also didn't mention the triplato paints which is another tier above the standard white / red for obvious reasons but just in case some don't know why, it's because they are a 27k option.

Congrats on the platinum award - car looks great! I have always wanted a yellow Ferrari, just never found the right one.

Did you show the car with clearbra on the car? Just wondering if they deduct anything for that.

I did show it with the clear bra and they did inquire about it but not sure if they deducted or not. It's a 2500 mile radio delete car and is virtually in new condition. It is definitely a car I will never sell

Interesting thank you. I wouldn't sell it either if I had that car.

Red Scuds look awesome, but I really don't think they are any better than other color versions. Something more - the Scud is actually one of the Ferraris, that are more acceptable in other colors than any other mid-engine Ferrari.

I don't think Grigio Silverstone as other colors are less valuable than reds. It's maybe more slow to sell. But in my opinion red are for show-off!

yes but GRIGIO is not BLACK, I would guess that less than 3% of European SCUDs were ordered in BLACK its just a color nobody wanted. Note in Germany 75%+ of all Ferrari's sold are in RED, that's why Bianco White deserves an extra premium as its rare

My basic knowledge in economic theory states that low supply alone does not dictate a higher price. It must be met with commensurate demand. The intersection of this supply and demand is the equilibrium that sets the approximate price...

Bianco has been the popular color of the past two or three years, which is AFTER Scuds were made, so presently, they do command a slight premium. But there is no guarantee that will be so in the future, as tastes change. Red has been a perennial favorite, and why it is nicknamed "resale red". ;)

Grigio Silverstone is outstanding, and was definitely in the mix of colors I was considering. Alas, I ended up with Rosso Corsa, same as the three previous Ferraris I have owned.

I think the blacks look better in person. I know my black and gold always draws a crowd over the Reds.
I found this video on YouTube of my car someone took at a car show this year.

All scuds are nice, and thankfully they come in a myriad of colors to suit everyone's taste.
My personal favorite on a scud is the Rousso Nuovo F1, I like Triplo Giallo on a 458.

Black and gold is just stunning when it's all clean and shiny. Beautiful car!

My last black car would only stay clean for about a day, then it would have a visible layer of dust on it which drove me crazy.

Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I would instantly jump on a blue one with white stripes. How uninteresting the community would be if everyone ordered only red and white Ferraris. I see alot of out of the norm combos in the Speciale picture thread. It's almost as if each car is unique.

Wow, this thread keeps getting better and better. I've never seen pics of this one before. Love it! I've always been a fan of blue cars but never really liked blue Ferraris, but this one is incredible.

This thread is funny. Everyone things their color is an "in demand" color. Funny how that works. :p
