I just wanted to publicly thank Mike at Scuderia Audio for his help with my audio upgrades. A couple of weeks ago, I lost all audio in my 430. I decided to check out Mike's website and saw the invitation to text him with questions. So, I did. He responded within minutes and said the OEM booster had probably died. We got on the phone, and he talked me through many different options, some not involving him at all. After 30 minutes on the phone, I decided to purchase his Super System Upgrade, which includes his Super Amp and two subwoofers.

The parts arrived today, impeccably packed with all necessary hardware included. His products are incredibly well thought out, with everything fitting perfectly and little technical skill needed to complete the replacement of both the amp and the subwoofers. So long as you can use a screwdriver and put a crimp connector on a wire, you will be good to go. I did have a couple of questions, so I texted Mike. Again, within minutes he replied. We got on the phone, he gave me a couple of tips, and in 45 minutes, the components were replaced, and everything was put back together.

Now my 430 has audio again, but more importantly the quality of the audio is night and day compared to the OEM components! I am thrilled!

Mike's product is excellent, and I think I have made clear that his customer service is also excellent. However, there is one more salient fact I want to point out. When I told Mike the symptoms that led him to believe the OEM booster was dead, I told him I didn't want to buy new parts from him without knowing for sure what was wrong. In other words, I feared buying a new amp only to find out that the booster was not the problem. Mike said, "Don't worry!" He told me that if I installed his new part and it didn't work, I could send everything back for a full refund, and he would pay return shipping. The entire transaction was completely without risk for me!

Well, I am thrilled with the products I purchased, and I won't be returning everything. Thank you, Mike!!

NOTE: I have no relationship with Scuderia Audio or Mike, except as a first-time customer. No consideration was provided by Scuderia Audio or Mike in exchange for this review.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the upgrade as I plan to do the same shortly for my Scud. I’ve chatted with Mike via email and he’s been great. Even better that he’s local to me.

would you be able to shoot a picture of your 430's audio setup?
I believe different cars are optioned differently. And what exactly is a boost?

The booster is what I used to call the amplifier. Among the many things I learned from Mike is that the unit that comes stock with the 430 "hifi audio" upgrade is not an amplifier at all. It is only a booster ... and apparently it is trash. I have now replaced this OEM device with a proper amplifier.

There really isn't anything to take pictures of, because everything appears stock. I did not change the head unit. The amplifier that replaced the booster fits perfectly in the stock cradle that sits underneath the dash, and the new subwoofers are a direct replacement for the stock subwoofer and "passive radiator" in the OEM subwoofer housing. Using the installation plates that Mike provides, the OEM grilles fit back on perfectly. So, like I said, the inside of my car appears totally stock.

You should let Mike send you the 8" sub box upgrade to try! And the Focal speakers for the doors :) (yes... I am a bad influence)

The booster has ridiculous levels of distortion. Even cheap amps have 10x less!

I've got to thumbs up this entire thread. Mike is THE BEST and his products and service are unparalleled. I upgraded my amp (booster), head unit, door speakers, and added his 8" rear sub setup. It's amazing.

    OP: congrats on the upgrade.

Hey @SoftwareDrone , I still haven't finished my stereo upgrades on my car yet, but I do have the infamous ASK booster sitting around on a shelf. I recall you mentioned before about those parts being hard to come by. Do you have any need for one? My car never came standard with the system, so I have no need to hang on to it.
