After reading all the glowing reviews regarding the Scuderia Audio dual sub woofer replacement, I decided to purchase same.
I must say I am quite disappointed in the design/quality of this product.
    1. Speaker adapter plates had incorrect mounting geometry with one plate, could not mount speaker.
    2. Speaker grills do not snap in place, nothing to hold the grill fingers in place, they just fall off.
    3. Mounting holes drilled in speakers are undersized.
    4. Electrical connectors are oversized, fall off terminals.

So two major issues, two minor, not what I expect after paying over $500 for two speakers and some hardware.
As for Mike being responsive, no response from two e-mails sent regarding the issues.
Just my experience, yours may differ.

    Did you read the instructions?

You are paying for the R&D and ease of install from the adapter plates. They should match the picture on the webpage and allow for replacement of the dead stock units and preserve the OEM grills. Value prop of time savings back to OEM+

I think the first upgrade should be the SuperAmp if you have the HiFi system. The OEM "booster" has terrible distortion and rear 5.25" speakers are going to have a tough time distorted.

Did you see my picture? Instructions don't help when parts are incorrect.

It wasn't clear if you were drilling new holes in the adapter or not. Ask for replacement.

Not being snarky, but maybe take this to an experienced custom stereo shop to install the speakers.

sometimes custom does not mean plug and play.

Or if parts are defective he is pretty responsive. I know he’s generally continually doing r-and~d on his stuff making every version better.

My 3 exp w this outfit have been top notch. One of the most ocd sellers builders in the biz.

I’d help if I was local.

Complete transparency here, I have been more than fairly compensated for this issue by Mike. In addition he took the time to offer a detailed explanation of the issue. As a product development engineer for over 40 years, I understand that stuff happens, and have had my share of explaining to disgruntled customers why their product did not meet their expectations. Never a pleasant experience.
I am completely satisfied with the resolution of this issue.
