So on my way to NJ last weekend, my Sebring's alternator started to go around Maryland... i made it all the way, but there was no way i was going to make it back... i had just finished putting new brakes on the car along with a brand new radiator, but at 200,000 miles, she was ready to retire... So now i've got a 2001 Nissan Sentra SE... Green with a dark interior; it's so much fun...! :)

Did you check to make sure it didn't come from Nollins?

Worse...! It came from Galloway...! :D

The car is solid... Though it just had an oil change, i'm gonna have the oil changed again on Friday - hell, i've put almost 2,000 miles on it in the last seven days - but i'm gonna put in synthetic oil... At some point in the near future, i'll have a check-up of the car... CV joints and boots, all other fluids, brakes, that sorta deal... Though i doubt the brakes need any kind of work right now, the car stops on a DIME...

Congrats Carbon! Nissan makes reliable and fun cars, I hope you enjoy yours. I got 305,000 miles out of my Maxima before I put her down, so I know firsthand Nissan makes a damn good product.

But... you just put shields on the old one. :(

Great looking green! It's always nice to get something new. Congrats! I wish you many happy miles in her. Or him. Have you given him/her a name? I always name my cars.

The Sebring was A.J. and i'm rather partial to that name, so this Sentra might be Jo, though i've not yet made a final decision... The badges were on the Sebring for some time, but i just added a "special" sticker to the door before i left for NJ and i just painted the wheels a few months ago... These cars, they are a labor of love...

Bill, yes, my alternator went AROUND Maryland... (wiseass!)

Korr, it's an automatic. Ryan, yes, it's green; i'll check under the front bonnett for a PPG paint sticker... :)

Erik, maybe i can get a GT4 dash and put it in this Sentra...! :D

Tyler, my first (legal) car was a '93 Sentra and it had 175,000 miles and a slow oil leak when i got it... One year and 25,000 miles later, the engine block cracked, but 200,000 miles out of a car that had a slow oil leak that was NEVER tended to is pretty damn good... This car will last me longer, though...

The waxy wife has one - she and one of her sisters went off galavanting around one day & both came back with new cars.

I don't have the heart to tell her it should be labelled Renault-Nissan, but I can tell you, though you've already got a Scuderia shield on the rear.

Alright. Here's the short list- put some slammin' spinners on it, jack it down, get some serious tint going on the glass, and a resonating muffler and chrome exhaust, add those underbody neon strips, put the big-assed system in it to crank up the tunes, change the driver's seat to one of those racing seats that you can tilt waaaaaaaaaaaaay back, add the Momo wheel, the rear view danglin' deodorizer, the Tweety Bird floor mats, the chainlink license plate frame, add a 'Fear This' sticker. Then, we'll talk. :)

Nice!!! I used to have a Nissan sentra, when I was a graduate student. Nissan's are great cars, dead reliable, and IMHO, they are the best japanese "drivers' cars".

    Love the color.

Pride in ownership shows just as much on a "normal" car as it does an F-Car!
