Put it on Pistonheads in the UK - the first two LHD are GBP 140/150 (EUR 180/195 approx) - cost to register car in UK for new owner low

 

Marmite colour and no stripe probably doesn't help am afraid...

Love the color. If I were in the market for a scud and the car were in the US, I would absolutely buy it! GLWS!

 

I think the no stripe works great on that color. Very stealthy. Yellow calipers would really set it off.

 

I did consider it and went Stradale instead. Very very cool colour and unique BUT absolutely no options: no radio, no rollcage, no harness, no LED steering...won't be an easy one - too expensive even for our UK market as it's missing pretty much all the toys.

 

I dont mean to sound negative... But Scuds and Speciale's are priced to high at the moment. I have been looking very closely to both markets as I sold my Scuderia last year and noticed after I sold mine the prices went up with the Speciale's as I am looking for one them.

As I look every day for a Speciale I have seen the same cars for sale for the last 8-12 months. A lot are even a year on the market. Now if the prices were not high then at least some of them would be selling, but they are not, same cars. So I considered getting a Scuderia again, mainly because A, Scuderia is an amazing car, but B, I can not find a 4 point belt, yellow, black strips Speciale. Not a single one has been on the market in the last year.

I kinda think cars are worth what people will pay for them and if these cars are on the market for to long, then they are over priced.

These are just my opinions.....

Im actually going to Belgium to look at a Speciale next week, I think I have to settle for a red one, yellow is just impossible to find.......

Personally, I don't count no rollcage or no harness as negatives. To my knowledge, most scuds don't have those options. Maybe it's different in Europe.

 

Must have here in Europe...and really why these cars were built for: track days.
Most Strads/Scuds/Speciales will have at least LED steering and harness here. Rollcage indeed is not a must have...and actually Ferrari did not offer the rollcage (and possibly no harness either) on Strads/Scuds/Speciales in the US. EU is a different market than US

And I don't know in the US, but here most owners do take these around tracks, well at least in their first years.

Same for any 996 997 991 GT3RSs...good luck selling one in comfort spec in the EU - most of them were purposefully ordered with cage and harnesses here, unlike in the US where it's not uncommon to find them in "cruising" mode.

Wow! I never did understand the "clear coated grey primer" look championed by Dodge in the US.
That colour would be an instant disqualification for *any* car I was looking for, never mind a sought after Ferrari.

 

I hate to overgeneralize, but it seems to me that our British cousins love to share their negative opinions about other peoples' cars, to those other people. This is why I left Pistonheads. Anyway, keep calm, and carry on...

 

With or without a roll cage or harness one fact applies around the world: a Scud without racetrack usage achieve a significantly higher price in the resale. And when I look on the internet here in Europe I can read almost at all Scuderias "no track use". Therefore it seem THIS is a must have, "no track use".

bikz speaks from Challenge Stradale and no, there are Scuds without the LED steering wheel.

 

I know this is true, but it's still lame. So, a car specifically built by Ferrari for use on the track, but they don't want it to have ever been taken to the track. This is like buying a toy but leaving it in the box to preserve its value.

Do you honestly believe all those who claim 'no track use'? That's like believing the ultra low mileage readings on f40s...
